Always enjoy your input, Panther.....and I too think Cadillac is THE car brand of all time. Yes, they had some bumps along the way. But I forgive them. Now they just need to bring back a large rwd luxo cruiser with the sexiest styling ever. I luv the 71 Caddie, has to be one the sexiest car asses ever created:

Todays cars have become so Eurocentric. Once you have have ridden in a big, soft riding American car, you feel like you've gone to heaven. Great long distance highway cars. And so quiet.

So agree with you, I'm such a Cadillac fan. They had that extra something....something intangible. One day I want to get a big vintage Caddie and after reading this story, now I want one more then ever.

Ya, a great story and great music. It also brought home how much cars like the Cadillac of that era had so much soul and cars of today, are so souless.

I've always associated the Hurst thing with Oldsmobile. I don't think I've ever seen one of these. Amazing how the a padded landau roof was somehow considered sporty at the time.
