Yeah don;t they still have one at the Gugenheim?

That and a WWII GP.

BTW: I love all this classic stuf you dig up for us Harley. Makes this place so much more fun.

Hey thanks 68...my pleasure. It's nice to 'lighten' up a little on a lazy Sunday, do some fun stuff. And of course your considerable automobile knowledge and observations makes it even more fun. Honestly, 68 have you ever looked at doing something auto related in journalism etc?....you have a interesting take on all things automotive.

Razor will be along here shortly; I know he appreciates these.

The Cisitalia above is a real sweet-looking car. Some of the details 'fall off' a bit for me, but there's no arguing the basic shape & lines.

Yes indeed, Vignale, Touring Superleggera & Farina delievered some great pages in automotive styling and design. The Cisitalia was the base point of this post war sportscar styling said to be designed by Battista Farina, not sure if this is that car or not.

I just realized the similiarity of the rear design concept of this to the GM fastbacks of ? 49 that I like so much.

Look at the door handles. Such purity of design. Elegant in their simplicity.

The more I look at this car and especially in profile, it's thoroughly modern, it could be made today and look right. And this is a '47!.....almost 60 years old.
