What's this truck got under the hood? A 5.7 LS1 V8 engine, hooked to a 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission. A fantastic paint job in an awesome color - Planet Color Tobacco Copper Metallic exterior paint. And it can be all yours, for $99,900.

Thanks for the head's up FOG... that's one modified GMC I'd be proud to call my own (well, there's a few things I'd nitpick about for that price, but other than that it's a great looking rig).

.

BTW, I won the NJ Lottery today.... too bad it was only $2 from a scratch-off ticket :P

Now all I need is $98,898 more...

What am I digging most about this truck? This:

Traditionally, the letters would be painted a bright red. I'm digging the gold coloring a lot!

What is my biggest pet peeve with this truck? This:

That is a tailgate used from '67 through '87, and the GMC block letter styling doesn't blend well with the '50s emblem on the hood. This is the tailgate that should have been used ('54-'66) and the letters could have been painted gold to remain within the theming:

And my final nitpick... the smooth hubcaps:

I'd rather have the stock hubcaps used with either the red round part painted gold or the letters painted gold:

However, if I could afford the price of this truck I guess I could afford to correct these issues :P

Amazing truck, but it does seem to show some mismatch that would bother me.

Amazing truck, but I would be afraid to drive it.

some black primer, a mexican blanket, and a chebbie tree fity under de hood and I would be all rite with dat...

Oh, and by the way, owning a vintage pick em up truck is high on my bucket list of things I want to do before I die.

I pretty much consider every post here that is vintage GM truck related to be a personal favor....
