Seeing as how I really want a '55-'57 GMC, yesterday I jumped on the email and contacted the owner. I received a reply today, and unfortunately for me it is a 1955 1st series pickup (carryover 1954 model). I will admit that of the 1947-1955 style, the '54/'55 models are the only ones I like (non-split windshield and extra chrome surround around the stock grille).

Here are the eight pictures the seller sent me:

So, what do I envision this truck to look like if I were to buy it and put it all together again? This:

However, I'm not sure I want to go for this truck (though the price is sure attractive enouggh). I really want a 2nd series '55 to '59 more. BUT, this '55 1st series can definitely be a nice truck.

Nice looking truck, for the price would be a great project starting from a solid base. Looks like the frame is all cleaned up and prepped properly.

Impressive start, and for twelve hundred dollars...I would still rather have a half ton truck...and buy one with a bed...

However, at twelve hundred, its tempting....very tempting...
