Maserati North America, Inc. Closes September with Historic Record High Sales; 300 Percent Year-Over-Year Increase

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J., Oct. 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Maserati North America, Inc. today reports its strongest sales results yet of (1,367 units) sold this September. This record number reflects a 241 percent increase compared to the same month last year and a 300 percent year-over-year increase. Such an extended streak marks the twentieth consecutive month of year-over-year sales growth for the Trident across North America. Sales continue to rise due largely to the highly successful introductions of the new Ghibli and Quattroporte sedans this year. This month, the luxury Italian auto manufacturer has posted its best sales yet, with 2014 sales already exceeding those for 2012 and 2013 combined.

Increasing the brand's footprint across North America has been a strong focus of President & CEO of Maserati North America, Inc., Peter Grady, over the past year. "Creating a Maserati ownership experience which is on par with its exceptional driving experience remains the priority for Maserati North America, Inc., as the company strategically establishes dealerships where it may have been difficult to access the luxury automaker before," says Grady. A total of seven new dealerships were added since July 1st, 2014 bringing the number of dealerships added this year to a total of twenty one new stores, equaling 100 Maserati dealerships today. The dealer body is expected to grow to 120 dealerships by the end of the year, nearly doubling the number of dealerships in one year.

The arrival of the model year 2015 Ghibli and Quattroporte are forthcoming, each offering updates and further refinements to the model line-up inclusive of the GranTurismo range. With its recent innovations and novel product plan, Maserati is well fueled for the next century of automotive success.
