Robert Hall 9,405 Posted July 15, 2017 (edited) It's got some of the new Civic styling cues like the taillights combined with the 6-light fastback greenhouse that has become pretty common in recent years (Fusion, Malibu, Sonata, etc). Edited July 15, 2017 by Cubical-aka-Moltar Quote Link to comment

Still the Coupe on a sedan body style that I believe is a DEAD Design trend. I think in the next 18-24 months we will see a move away from the Coupe Design for 4 door sedans. Quote Link to comment

Based on what I have seen from an Aerodynamics stand point, you can get the same flow with just minor turbulance in this style, I do not think we will see the Ocean size trunks come back but I can see a smaller trunk and more of an upright rear window style. A flowing front end that comes to a back end style of window and then the trunk. Kinda blending the CUV rear with a 4 door sedan. That is how I see the next trend in car design. I believe we will see a blend of CUV / car in the cars. Quote Link to comment
Robert Hall 9,405 Posted July 15, 2017 (edited) Given the popularity of CUVs, I also think a CUV rear will be coming to more cars...more cars shaped like the Malibu Maxx (without the horrific blandness, hopefully) or the Opel Signum....the return of the non-fastback 5dr hatchback or a small sloped/vertical trunklid... oldshurst442 6,955 Posted July 16, 2017 Hudson Hornet Chopped '49 Mercury In all honesty, much ado about nothing about the bitchin' of 4 door coupes!!! Plus Ill add this one!!! The rake of the back windshield is just as extreme...only difference is that the W-Body is a long car and the designers had a trunk to work with but...cut short the trunk by about 5 inches and you gets the same effect like the Accord looks like...and by cutting the trunk by 5 inches, the GP also gets to be about the same length as that Accord....in other words, extend the back end of the new Accord by about 5 inches and it becomes almost as long as a 1990s W-Body...the Buick Century in 1997 Im willing to bet would be the EXΑCT size with the current Accord length wise.... Its just fast back styling!!! It gives a young vibe to an otherwise old fogey 4 door family car sedan! This is what you folk wanna go back to? Kinda bland and square, doncha think?
