  1. Yeah, I'd like to hear more from Hudson about that. I find him to be typically well informed, but my sources tell me that Camaro and Kappa DO NOT have a future together. As far as Wilmington goes, who's to say that it will build only Kappas.
  2. All smoke and mirrors. As it turns out, Kappa is not flexible at all. I wish it were.
  3. No, it won't be a "foam" car like the '99 GTO. I'm sure it's start and drive. I'm expecting something more along the lines of the original Solstice concept however. Remember, under it's skin was a cobbled up J-car platform with the Rendezvous' Versatrack IRS and diff, Subaru steering and CTS brakes. I expect the upcoming concept to have a similarly cobbled together undercarriage....but based heavily on Sigma. As far as if it would be based on Kappa goes, you don't have to believe me, Fbodfather has already posted about in at CZ28.
  4. I really don't expect a pre-production car, but merely a styling concept. What's under the skin may/will have no bearing on the production car, and the styling may only be 85% representative. As far as GTO, I hope they get it worked out, but right now I'm not holding my breathe.
  5. Smaller than Mustang and presumed Challenger sized are two different things.
  6. Yeah, but that's going to be a pretty big, hefty coupe. Ok for a Challenger, intolerable (from my perspective), for a Camaro.
  7. Hey, I hope I'm wrong and GM has some Kappa-esque platform like the Torana's in the works for the Camaro. That would just make my day. Because, quite frankly, I have no idea how GM is going to get a LARGE sedan and a smaller ponycar to share the same platform.
  8. If that's the case, I'll be surprised. Perhaps pleasantly surprised....but surprised nontheless.
  9. I don't know guys, not that I'm doubting Hudson, but this is the first time I'm hearing anything about "Kappa Plus". I hope it's true, but I'm going to need some more convincing, I think.
  10. It's Camaro. And it sounds like you want to buy a truck.
  11. Can't argue with what you say ehaase, but let me add..... 1) There is A program at A certain stage. 2) I expect things to start getting more transparent and more official soon. 3) Yes, a new Camaro would (and will) need to share it's architecture with other cars.
  12. Well just for the record, I've seen lots of "Jo Blows" at media events. In fact alot of the press present, are from the lay media (ie., non-automotive)...and frankly don't even have the first clue. It seems to me that the people that were picked to go to this, are the kind of people who know what to say, know how to say it and know how to act...and WHATDOYOUKNOW...they're Camaro enthusiasts as well. :AH-HA_wink: Personally, I couldn't be happier to be one of the Camaro Jo Blows selected to go to this VERY SPECIAL unveiling. :) Thanks Fbodfather and all others involved!
  13. I think lots of engineering resources are being devoted to Lambda as we speak.
  14. Interesting stuff there, dutch. I wonder if Holden/Buick/Pontiac would be willing to foot the bill to update the VZ coupe to meet US crash standards?
  15. Nobody said that about Solstice. If you want to stretch Kappa....you won't have Kappa anymore. You'll have an all new architecture - that costs like an all new architecture. Believe me, I've wanted it to happen and I've looked into it.
  16. It ain't gonna happen guys. I wish it would, but it won't.
