  1. What a fantastic peice of automotive art....produce as close to this as possible GM (and, bring it to Canada of course) and I'll be in line with my deposit in 2 years.
  2. To be honest, somewhat disappointed in the exterior styling. As a (cladded) Avalance owner, I always have wanted to paint my cladding to match the body color, as the old Escalade with its variation on painted cladding looked great. With the removal of the cladding and as a result, the subtle side body lines on the EXT....well.., not impressed. Other then the slightly improved front end, it doesn't change the look that much, or do it for me. I bet when the new Avalanche comes out, it will look much too much like this EXT. Of course the 400HP and 6spd, and interior make this a nicer vehicle then the current EXT. But in comparo.... Old EXT (basically stock, Aftermarket wheels):HERE
  3. Is that the same green LED display I remember on a friends parent's '86 Aerostar?
  4. Are the tailights unique? With the bottom 3rd being amber? Or is that on all Vette's?
  5. To be honest, at least from these pics, I think the Yukon XL looks a little better overall, and specifically in hiding the back end (I have no idea how). Which is odd, because I'd take a new Tahoe 99 times out of 100 over a Yukon.
  6. I think its a great idea for a commercial to differentiate itself and get the car noticed, especially a new, striking looking model. Look at the discussion it sparked here. Showing a commercial about more important features such as the new Lucerne having (for example hypothetical numbers) 23% more leg room and 31% more power then the compeitition, won't cut it in an ad on TV anymore. Consumers have tuned out those commercials, as every company does that nowadays. To catch the eye and ear of people, focusing on such a unique aspect that most popel think are brand new will make people pay a alittle closer attention to the ad, and, thus, the car, never mind the positive impression of Buick being at the forefront of technology, and the design of the vehicle.
  7. So is the Av (& Caddy EXT) next up for introducing, since the Escalade is now out?
  8. Another: http://cache.gettyimages.com/comp/56131951...4D2604A015CF9DF
  9. Was expecting a little more come the side and back..but love the front (although headlights could be a bit beefier). Interior looks fantastic from the pics When you see it coming head on, like the current Gen, you know its nothing but a Cadillac. Plus, with all the "pop culture icons" input, likely to be a lot more customizeable and the after market should do well with it. Well done GM, on the Tahoe, and on this.....now what are you going to do with my Avalanche...and when are we gonna see it? (and the EXT).
  10. Its tomorrow...now! Pics? ;)
  11. Just a general comment. When a Ridgeline can't carry a Honda ATV, or, many Honda motor bikes in the bed, they shouldn't be (as it was at the local auto show in March) be attempting to put them in the back, with the back two wheels on the flattened tailgate. To be honest, the bed, like like the Explorer Sport Trak, are relatively useless for those who need a pickup for carrying items longer then 5 feet. So who buys them? Seriously? I've had my Avalanche now for 2 years, its my first truck, as I was never a truck guy, and every time I think I don't need the 6-8ft capabilty and I have too much truck, I need that large area....and/or the fact that the load is secure and/or in the cab overnight, even better. I couldn't imagine having a smaller box if I have a truck.
  12. So from the schedule, and if Cadillac gets the "best for last" monniker (regular and EXT), that means the Avalanche should be next to be released, picture wise?
  13. Glad to hear the Av is getting a unique front end. The uniqueness of the cladded Av, and mainly, the completely different more agressive front end, made that a no brainer when I got my 04 Av last year (and 03, the year before that)
  14. Any word on the public release date of the 07 Avalanche as far as pictures go? And how was the front end more aggressive...more agressive then the current Gen Silverado? Or the current Gen cladded Av? Or just more aggresive then the 07 Tahoe? TIA
  15. As miles ahead the new F150 was ahead of the predacessor, and as nice as it is, lets not get carried away and make it more then it is. vs. The "plastic" on the centre stack looks to actually have some components to it, not just bare plastic.
  16. Cool thanks...knew it was too good to be true. Love the hind quarters and the grill treatment...and the 2" drop. If I decide to go the Impala route next spring, some instant mods would be necessary to make it look as refined and agressive as that picture shows.
  17. Not sure about a 2006 M45, different front end, and the rear opera window is shaped different.
  18. From the press material today: A sad (but expected day) for us cladded Avalanche owners. Cladding made the Avalanche unique from the concept into production. Now, would I have liked body color painted cladding as an option on my previous (2003) and current 2004 Av, but it differentiated itself from a Silverado. But the main reason I got the cladded Av was the unique front end. Not a Tahoe/Burb front end, or a Silverado....but a unique front end thats also likely to go by the wayside (likely to be similar to the new Tahoe, not the new Silverado)
  19. To add some fuel to the fire, what is this? I assume this is a photoshopped pic...but looks very similar (grill, headlights, quarter end) to the screen shot. This is a good looking car, even if a production car, it lacks the wheel wells we've come to accept as GM fare. This is maybe what the Impala should've looked like...(although its high on my list next year)
