  1. i think you are missing the point of our advice. MILEAGE DON'T MEAN NOTHING. all mileage means is you may have the occasional repair to do every now and then. if you actually fix the car instead of toss it out at every sputter you will save money believe it or not. here is the bottom line. you wanna save money? BUY USED no matter the mileage all you have to know is was it well kept. i know cars that are OVER 200k but are in better condition then a garage kept with 95k its all about who owned it and if you can see signs that it may have not been taken care of then you don't buy the car. buying used isnt as hard as people make it to be.
  2. your link didnt lead to that picture i also didnt view this from the article. so i apologize
  3. ok first of all that teaser has been out for about a month. and all it tells us is SRT can Photoshop. i wont even touch the last comment and how Facebook is useful in many many ways. but i am still excited about this car. ive seen other teasers of the car under the usual cloak. it looks really impressive. smaller then the last one too. http://carissued.com/dodge/2013-dodge-viper-spy-photos.html
  4. i am a HUGE fan of the cuda i can say it is my #1 favorite muscle car. i just kinda wish they would not get rid of the challenger. idk i will have to wait and see the designs. if they get a lighter platform with the same engines or better then it will be really nice.
  5. i am truly sorry that you lost a car that you really enjoyed and was actually a good car. but at the same time i find it hard to be sympathetic. you and me are the same age. ive been driving since i was 16 owned a car since i was 18 from 16 to 21(in 2 months) i have owned 1 car. from what i understand you have owned 7 or 8 cars? this sounds like poor choices were made along the way. ones that could have been fixed. i went into college right out of high school and tried to ensure my future before spending big on big deal cars. you and me cant be picky about the car we get. listen to Pervez try and find some classes try to set a future for yourself before you spend money you don't have. the amazing thing about classes is after you finish a couple you can start doing an internship, and internships are the doorways into jobs, jobs = money, and money = nice things. just trying to help.
  6. i agree with the 1st phase. because it would make things easier. faster media response is always nice and being able to do it with 1 hand is also nice. the next part im iffy on. while i dont think its a good idea to text and drive and driving while talking on the phone is against the law around here. but telling car makers to block these items in the car is stupid. idk maybe its for the better, but at the same time you still have stupid people on the streets therefore how big of a difference will this make. so people cant make a call useing their NAV system anymore.... whats to stop them from useing their real phone to Text, call, and surf the web. its these types of things i wish the government would think through before they even try.
  7. yea.... i would not be disappointed if the viper came out like one of those. just more......... american looking lol.
  8. so much misunderstanding. the LAST thing i will say about the History thing. we go back and forth on this and its stupid. why does pontiac not have the history i am talking about? because Pontiac hasn't had any major mergers that i know of. and that is that. im done debateing this. go back to the SRT i think its great and as i said before it will bring in those who did not want it before.
  9. oh gosh ive gotten so far away from my original point AND the point of this thread.when i say second rate i mean things like the cailber, the neon, the sebring. things that may have sold but were flops in the way of respectability that Chrysler insisted on making. here is the reason i think this car will stand out the history wasn't even a big deal to me im just saying its there and a company like Pontiac doesn't have that. not a big statement in my opinion. it is a respectable car that everyone from teenagers to 80 year olds, mechanically inclined and not so much will want to drive. this car has gotten alot of attention there is no denying that. this car is a big deal. i believe all of the attention, the history, the looks, the power, the possible addition of the SRT name. all of that will make this car memorable. that was my point. and i did not intend to go this far because i didnt think my statement was that big of a deal. now as far is me saying you are rude i was referring to your video clips. do not get me wrong with anything i say in here. i like some Pontiacs. i agree that cars such as the G8 will be remembered as well as the solstice. but dont make the mistake of thinking the dart will be forgotten in a few years.
  10. you are quite rude. it has happened before yes. but with fiat its different. fiat is a sports car company. and very successful at it. dodge is a successful car maker as well. the mixing of these two is historic. it is also historic because of the state Chrysler was in a couple years ago making 2nd rate cars. this car is historic because of the new beginning, and the 180 degree turnaround. whether you wanna face it or not this partnership is historic.
  11. to be the viper means being the best that dodge can put out. the best that CHRYSLER can put out. that includes not only outside looks, power all that, it also includes the interior. the reason i am pushing this so much is that i already know its going to look good on the outside and be a powerhouse. same as always, what they need to do is update the interior. again im not saying throw a Ferrari interior in the car im saying use Ferrari knowledge on interiors and make an interior fitting for the viper. a super car should be just that super. and in my opinion that should include the interior as well.
  12. so let me clarify for those who have lashed out at my comment. the "history" i refer to has nothing to due with the name. they could have called it the wasp, the venom, the what ever and i still would have said this. the "history" i am talking about is the bonding of 2 MAJOR car companies. and their first love child together (THE DART) is a history making car. the solstice (which i agree is not the right car to compare to the dart) does not have that history. i will say the same thing about the viper when it comes out. it will be the best of dodge and the best of Fiat (Ferrari) in one orgasmic car. i am not angry i am not upset my panties are not twisted. i am stating OPINION. it is obvious i have ruffled the feathers of you Pontiac lovers. i am a Mopar guy to the core and i could care less. just thought you should know
  13. the things that come off sporty to me are the curves, the two tone leather, the CF accents. its just is sporty. not much else to it. the cost is so high in the Ferrari because of material the fine leathers, and what not. you don't have to do that. but make it look nice. you can reflect the Ferrari interior in looks without reflecting the cost. and also you have to remember when it comes to buying a Ferrari you are buying a name. Ferrari makes their cars so expensive because they can. people dont need a Ferrari they want one. and when it comes to wants you will find that the price tag will be whatever the maker wants it to be. my whole point is that dodge can get pointers from Ferrari on what people like in their cars. they then can take that advice and spruce up the viper interior. im not saying take a Ferrari interior and put it in a viper.
  14. im not saying it wont sell if its inteior isnt exotic im saying id like to see the inside looks reflect the outside looks
  15. see that interior screams sports car to me. i have no problems with the exotic leather, the carbon fiber. it has its own order and cleanliness to it. my biggest issue with the last gen viper and the gen before it was their inteiors looked like you had to be 5 foot nothing and 80 lbs to fit in it. i like the ferrari interior because it feels big. you can breathe and lets face it THIS is kinda boring
  16. you mean to tell me that you would have a problem with the Viper interior looking like this? or maybe this is more your taste?
  17. why make that promise? in what world is that a bad thing? i mean at least give it a Ferrari interior. the viper is a super car why not get some help from another super car? make a..........ultra car? lol
  18. ok not sure you should group everyone in that category. i dont wet myself every time a new car comes along. i mean sheesh i am in love with my Intrepid. can i see myself buying and loving the Dart? yea, but i love old just as much as i love new. as far as the solstice comparing to the dart i think thats the closest Pontiac will get but its still not close enough for me. it does not have the history behind it. sure its got looks and power but honestly i dont even see myself talking about it today and Pontiac has been gone for a few years. i think people will look back on the dart and say wow that was a good car. thats my opinion.
  19. im super excited to see the new Viper its something i look forward too with every new Gen, and i am NEVER disappointed. having a fiat mixed in would not ruin it for me one bit. i think what Fiat has added to Chrysler is Curves and that's never a bad thing. and lets not forget who Fiat owns. Ferrari. having that Italian HP and looks will be a new breath that i will drool over.
  20. the dart has a lot going for it. it is the first love child between fiat and Chrysler. that right there will have it remembered for many years. its good looks are a huge improvement over the caliber. and an SRT edition would draw those who thought this was just another econocar in. show me some modern Pontiac with these good looks, this hype, the sport to go with it as well as its history making status and i can say you are right.
  21. off topic? you asked what kind of car you should get we are giving you advice to expand your list to something you can afford. im sorry if u are offended by what is being said. but its the truth. im new here so you dont have to listen to what i say. but the others on here have been here for some time. and in most cases they are older and have made some bad choices of their own. they are trying to make sure you dont make the same bad choices they did.
  22. I'm not sure what you can afford to shell out at once, but If you can afford to raise that number to, say, $5000-$6500, you can get yourself a perfectly fine used car that won't nickel and dime you to death.Off the top of my head, I can name: 05-07 non SS Cobalt J body (say what you want about them, they're pretty reliable) any early 00s W body with the 3800 1st gen Focus 4.3L S10/Sonoma Silverado/Sierra F-150 Ranger Dakota Ram Taurus/Sable LH Chryslers Even if you have to wait a bit to get that amount, you're better off doing so, and buying it in cash and not having a payment. Plus here's some more food for thought wish i could double rep this. these are all prime examples of cars you can trust (other then the cobalt, sry if that offends anyone but they are complete crap) you raise 5k and a car that will last you will be fairly easy to find. i paid 2300 for my Intrepid. its had rough patches but its still on the road, and i believe this to be what you call a commuter car. i put 30 to 60 miles on my car a day depending upon my classes. those build up fast and i can end up putting 200+ miles on in a week. and i haven't had a significant issue in almost a year (knocks on wood) my point is again listen to these people most of them are older then you have had had more experience then you. if you dont wanna do the work. well there are alot of things you arent going to want to do. but even if you are on a budget and cant spend too much its much better to have to spend $200 dollars every once and a while to fix something then to pay 100 every month on a car that might have its own issues anyway.
  23. no matter if its faster. i know the 300 is going to be more reliable, and just a better car. i have loved mopar since i was in the 3rd grade. yea sure they have had their ups and downs. but, with every one of their cars it has always been that is the mopars were taken care of in the LEAST, the car would last. that sebring you posted is a good car. it just needs to be taken care of the right way. i drive this and its the reason i LOVE mopar and dont plan on drifting to far away from it.
