  1. Seems that according to Motor Biscuit, this truck could have an insane amount of power. How Much Horsepower Does the Ram Revolution Truck Have? A lot! (motorbiscuit.com) 885 HP to be exact.
  2. Very interesting that the latest survey of the top 10 auto's for theft. Catalytic Converter Theft: The 10 Vehicles Thieves Target Most (msn.com) The 10 Cars Most Prone to Catalytic Converter Theft 10. 2001–2021 Toyota Prius 9. 2011–2017 Chrysler 200 8. 1987–2019 Toyota Camry 7. 1997–2020 Honda CR-V 6. 2005–2021 Chevrolet Equinox 5. 1999–2021 Chevrolet Silverado 4. 1990–2022 Ford Econoline/E-Series 3. 2007–2017 Jeep Patriot 2. 1989–2020 Honda Accord 1. 1985–2021 Ford F-series
  3. Very cool barn find.
  4. @oldshurst442 @ccap41 @Drew Dowdell @surreal1272 @trinacriabob Just read this story about Detroit Speed. A company started by a former GM Suspension Engineer for the Corvette development team. Talk about a SEXY Riviera built on a modern platform. 5. Been a crazy Friday workday, thanks for the laugh! ?
  6. This is a Great concept and one that I hope both Ford and GM consider offering. In cold weather areas, if you're in the snow plowing business, this makes great sense. A well muffled generator to give the extra power needed during a long night of plowing and road clearing while being very quiet on top of the use for hauling over long distances.
  7. WOW, you are the first person that I know who does not know what Keystoning of pricing is in retail. Thinking on this, maybe that is why, I have spent a good chunk of my life in retail/sales and Keystoning of the cost in what becomes the selling price is common. I agree with @trinacriabob that I feel if a dealership or any place of business keystones the wholesale price, I see no problem with that in making a fair profit. I have issues when a place of business keystones MSRP. That is just highway robbery. 8. No Problem and No Offense Olds, I totally understand that many people do not understand how some might see technology features due to not having to deal with the health issues. For me, I live life to the fullest and if I die before the average person life expectancy, I die happy as I have lived a full life. I love the clouds of Seattle, the most times cloud covered, drizzle and yet still I got what my mom also got, skin cancer along with a dose of Basal and Squamous cell carcinoma. Sadly, my mom had it worse, first was the nose and then the second time with having to have her whole face grafted, but after proper treatment she is turning 79 this year and is still living. I had the additional cancer form of Chondrosarcoma which causes pain, swelling, stiffness of the affected area and in my case required the removal of my whole nose and the cartilage under neath as to why I have an interesting Silicon bridge with my own skin nose. FYI, You all can laugh as I do everytime I talk about it, but I always joke that may Ass is on my nose as that is the common place they graft the skin from. Yup, my mom and I both have an ASS for a face! ?
  9. As a Skin Cancer survivor and one that likes EVs, all the auto's having glass roofs bring up a valid point as I will still have to deal with the UV rays that cause skin cancer and more even here in Washington as the summers are still sunny here too. I did love the fact that the Cadillac LYRIQ has a screen that one can close and keep out the daylight. Yes, I think this is a very valid point and I never open my sunroofs on my autos anymore and all my windows are darkly tinted. Besides the skin cancer, I have also had another form of deep cell cancer that required the removal of my nose and had it rebuilt with a silicon nose bridge and skin grafts. Skin Cancer is much bigger issue than many realize and as such, it is a very valid point of concern with auto's having these all glass roofs. Yes, as a cancer survivor, all of my auto's as well as my kids have aftermarket tinting that is much darker to block all UV rays.
  10. @Drew Dowdell @ccap41 Ya guys had me wondering, so I called and talked to my service rep at the Cadillac dealership. The current Escalades use thinner rotors and are not turnable. They must be replaced where my 2006 Escalade uses much thicker rotors and can be turned. The lack of machine shops that can do this is another reason for GM I feel moving to use and replace rather than turn the rotor. Course much of this is moot with EVs now.
  11. Thank you for posting this, I wish RAM had better prepared the guy to cover the auto with some real demos such as actually changing the configuration of the tailgate. The Driver's seat should have been set for him as with his belly, it was awkward for him to get out. That back seat would not have had that amount of leg space if the driver's seat was set for him. It would still have had space. Many cool potential features will be interesting to see what makes it into production. The pass-through space to the Frunk makes me wonder if they paid Bolinger for the right to use it as they had patented it back in 2019. Lots of potential features, will be interesting to see the actual Mules and what makes it into production. As far as the Vegan versus leather. Make it an option, I see nothing wrong with using real animal hide and want it over some fake stuff. I do like what I see for interior space and bed potential. I wonder about the glass roof for those that have had to deal with skin cancer, how do we keep out in strong sunlight states the rays?
  12. ? Talk about a big YAWN of excitement. To me the outside is as boring as it can come and I do not get this cocoon feeling. I hate the Yoke as this forces hands to be 9 & 3 rather than the safer 10 and 2 position. In fact that is one of my observations of people who have the Tesla with a Yoke and how they one hand drive at the bottom of the steering yoke, not very safe or responsive to road issues. Interior is very minimalist of blah for me. Never did get into the minimalist thing, but this car will sell to the Sony faithful as well as the Honda Faithful which are anything but excitement of drivers. Meh, ?
  13. ? Ya know it can be tiring when you are such a horse with blinders. Yes, first we know the government is covering charging stations all across America. Second is I have covered over the last year how Shell, Texaco, and Chevron have committed to installing charging stations at their gas stations with the first ones to start being installed end of 2022, rolling out across the U.S. throughout 2023 and 2024.
  14. Here the cadillac dealer will turn the rotors as long as they still meet the GM speck. Same with many 3rd party shops at least here in Washington they do.
  15. Interesting, so pretty much with this announcement, Mercedes has already obsoleted their current EVs that are all based on 400V system. Yes, it is great that Mercedes is looking at finally supporting the 800V that others like GM, Ford and especially Kia, Hyundai and Genesis already have built too. Yet, this pretty much says we failed to deliver on our promise of Best or Nothing in building current EVs IMHO.
  16. Nope not the best car in the world, NO PROOF PROVIDED YET other than your Fanboy saying. Gold Standard is also subjective as that is you saying it, not the world. Please provide that Country Regulatory approval as right now only 2 state has approved it, Nevada and California. Mercedes Level 3 autonomy gets approval in Nevada | Automotive News (autonews.com) Mercedes Introducing Level 3 Autonomous Driving in California and Nevada - The Detroit Bureau And even then, it has stipulations. QUOTE: Drive Pilot currently is focused on use during relatively low-speed commutes — up to 60 kmh, or 37 mph. But Mercedes officials told TheDetroitBureau.com during a test drive of the system they hope to allow it to operate at higher speeds as they gather more data and gain more confidence.
  17. Cool Frunk design, not sure how I feel about the Interior as I do not like the cheap single big glass sheet in the middle of the Tesla. I feel this also is like that.
  18. Interesting for a Digital rendering.
  19. FAIL, EQA is supposed to be their entry level auto and just being under $50K is NOT Entry level and it is NOT Luxury!!!
  20. Well according to this story, seems the Chinese have surpassed the Mercedes EVs for the slipperiest in the world now and looks way better. There Is A New Battle Waging Among EV Automakers (topspeed.com) Clearly has a Tesla copied look but way cooler doors. Links please as I have sure not found them today.
  21. Usually, you can get two turns on rotors on most smaller autos. Escalade only seems to get a single turn on the rotors before replacing them due to the size and weight of the auto. As I stated, due to the damage done on the one rotor and the others have slight warps, I decided to replace them all. The repair place used GM Gold pads and then I went after market rotors and calipers as I went with multiple clamping calipers compared to the GM single piston version. I also went with the anodized rotors so keep them looking clean rather than rusting up since I am on the pass so much during winter to ski.
  22. Where is Mercedes? They have nothing in the sub $30,000 range. You're bashing everyone else but have ignored that Mercedes has FAILED to deliver any reasonable priced EVs yet. The cheapest EQB is a 300 4matic priced at $55,400 at my local dealer and they already have an adjusted market sticker of $10K on it. Sleazy like all auto reseller's that put second stickers on the auto above MSRP.
  23. Agree, when they covered it at EV Day 2021, I felt they had in many ways copied GM in having a scalable platform to meet all their auto needs globally.
  24. RAM is using the STLA Frame part of their all new BEV Platform which makes up 4 total platforms from the master Platform. I covered it in 2021 here: Stellantis will have four BEV-centric platforms as the backbone of their global strategy for all 14 brands. The platforms are designed with a high level of flexibiliity (Length and Width) along with component sharing, delivering economies of scale globally while supporting two million units per year to begin. The four platforms are as follows: STLA Small - range up to 500 km/300 miles STLA Medium - range up to 700 km/440 miles STLA Large - range up to 800 km/500 miles STLA Frame - range up to 800 km/500 miles
  25. This is what their press release had to say: Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept: Loaded with exclusive advanced technology features and based on STLA Frame, the BEV-by-design body-on-frame architecture, the Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept is a visionary roadmap and a glimpse into the future, showing how the leading truck brand will once again redefine the pickup truck segment. Here is the press release on their BEV platform. Electrification | Stellantis
