Toyota and Panasonic are tying up together with the same kind of deal to produce EV battery packs much like Tesla has done. Tesla has since diversified in signing battery supply agreements with LG and CATL in China. Panasonic has stated that Toyota will own 51% of the new Prime Battery company. The physical shape is the same as Tesla, but the composition is very different according to the companies. Tesla has also indicated it could move forward with building it's own batteries. The all stock deal values Delphi at $3.3 billion with sales last year of $4.36 billion and BorgWarner has $10.17 billion. Such a shame that this is what they tried to market as Excitement. Anything but, ? I was a fan of the QUAD motor even though it had it's issues, it was a cool motor. GM just needed a bit more Engineering QA work on it and it would have been a big hit for them. Bean counters I think hurt the motor due to shortcuts in gaskets kinda like the early days of the Cadillac Northstar.

You do not know that. If this is a quad motor Hummer EV, that torque is very real. No one really knows as we do not have any details to state what is real torque versus peak short jump in torque. Hopefully 5/20/2020 will answer that for us.
