  1. Hey Everyone,

Not sure where to post this so please move it to the right sub-forum if it's not in the right place. Anyway, we have just revamped our entire site and are looking to add local shops to our installer directory. Inclusion is free and all I need is your business name and information (including your website if you have one) to be included. You can PM me or send an email to [email protected].

We're doing this because we're a completely online company and, even though we sell DIY products many people want someone to install it for them. So, it's a free service we like to offer to our customers. So, if you are a shop or know someone who is tell them to contact me. Happy Monday!

  2. Great! Keep me posted. If there is a members' only area where you guys could post the code I would send it to you via PM. I just don't want it to get indexed and give everybody and their mother 20% off. Let me know and have a good one!

Sounds Good, will reach out to you on our chears and Gears PM when I am ready.

Question for you, what is the best way to give feedback on the site other than filling out the sales info request option for contact?

Looking at new headlights for the Durango.

    http://www.rvinyl.com/Custom-Headlights-Dodge-Durango-1999.html

Very first option is nice but the description comes right out and says "Customize your Acura with these replacement headlights.

Now, that is emabarassing. I just let the webmaster know. Rest assured, however, that all of the lihts shown there are for the Durano and I owe you one! ; )

  4. Vinylsmith, web site is nice, but does need updated current pictures. Looking for New Taillights for my 94 Suburban and their is no pictures of what they look like.

Thanks! Yeah,we're actually updating everything but it's taking some time. We don't have a lot of photos up yet but here a few pics of an 2002 Tahoe with our smoked, precut headlight tints: http://rvinyl.tumblr.com/post/62422637505/http-www-rvinyl-com-headlight-tints-chevrolet-tah

Let me know if you decide to try them out so I can give that coupon code to you guys.

  5. Yeah, it's kind of the worst of the worst. I have been thinking about writing up a side by side comparison between the Sonic, the Accent, the Versa and the xD and see who come out on top (or the bottom as the case may be). Still, I think I might bore people to death if I do.

  6. So, I have been having some discussions with people on the NIssan and Scion forums and wanted to know what you guys thought as well seeing as how there may be less confirmation bias here then on either of those forums. What do you think? Which is the better value? Which of the two if more fun to drive?

  7. The company I'm with does precut window tint, smoked out headlight and tail light tint, dash kits and a bunch of other stuff. The site is www.rvinyl.com and I'll be sure to get everybody here a Cheers and Gears discount code shortly. I think the guys in accounting would let us do 20%...anyway, feel free to ask if you have any other questions.

  8. That's like picking the scab open after letting it heal for a long time!

Pontiac was more of a clash to the Chevy brand. And Pontiac's image was such that they could not support the prices Buick could, oddly.

Think of the Verano. Think of the absurdly high prices those get. No way a G6 or Grand Am gets that $$$$$ at retail.

Yeah, you're right about opening old wounds but it has always irked me and I complain to anyone who will listen...I see what you're saying about Chevy and Pontiac clashing I just wonder if they could have gone about it any differently, It wouldn't make sense for Chevy to split off as the truck division of GM (which already has GMC) like Dodge has with Ram and you couldn't have the Pontiac Corvette and Camaro so I guess it makes sense in the end. Sorry for the rant but I appreciate the reply!

  9. There has been some discussion about the merits of the Sonic versus the Hyundai Accent over at the Hyundai forums and Edmunds.

In essence, people have been saying that the Accent is simply a better overall value than the Sonic. Now, I have no horse in the race here but it just strikes me as strange to hear that given my impression of the Accent but my knowledge of the vehicle may be somewhat dated (the last time I saw one was circa 2006 in Bushwick, Brooklyn and it wasn't a pretty site). In short, a lot of people are saying that the Accent will run longer and with less problems than a Chevy Sonic but the counterpoint to that is that when something does go wrong you out of luck finding parts.

    Thoughts? Where would you stand?

  10. Hi Everyone,

I am an automotive enthusiast with 10 years in the aftermarket accessory field. I'm always looking to expand my knowledge base and this community seems like the perfect place to do so. The problem with specializing in aftermarket parts for all marques is that I never know nearly enough about the ins and outs of each make so please forgive me in advance if I ask a bunch of silly questions. Thanks for having me and great job everyone!
