  1. the new BNL song... And I forgot the name of the song....
  2. Not bad... I see a lot of Astros being replaced soon...
  3. Clueless, Huh? Maybe you should go through my local autotrader...minivans a' plently... It isn't even hard to find a newer van in decent shape for under 10 grand... Now with the handicap vans, that is a good point. But the current minvans in their current form (all makes) are going to be a dying breed. For two good reasons: 1. Gas milage. Families on a budget cannot afford high gas prices again. I don't see any minivan with decent gas mpgs...they are still very truck like.....and boring.. 2. Choice-there is so much more out there now....trucks with four doors, hatches, Suvs of all shapes and sizes....even five years ago, I could agree with you. But not now. You might be able to make a point with the Madza 5...mirco vans are where things are headed....or mini-minivans... Though they are more like a large wagon... Clueless, Reg? That hurts my feelings...
  4. It sure can't hurt... I'm going to pick up a bottle for the tank, hopefully this weekend...
  5. Judging by the fact I'm getting SUV mpgs again..sounds like I'm going to need it soon...
  6. I'm not understanding why people are defending the minivan market. This Market is dead. Even Honda and toyota will catch on. Even the poor will see that minivans, no matter what brand, have no resale value. Sliding doors are nice, granted you have more than two kids Not that hard to open a door-or park farther away..... Even if GM got close, it would still be a waste of money...everyone else is TOO far ahead...that's when you cut your losses and run...Even Ford figured that one out... I agree the DCX could be in trouble-they need to hurry the new stuff out... A few more new crossovers, and there won't be a point to the minivans anyways.. And unless GM could keep em cheap (unlike HOnda ot Toyota)-they will be out of the pricepoint of a young family anyways.... And don't expect the Korean twins to stay hot long either...
  7. Does in go in the caprice or Vibe? Or both? I'm going to give it a try as a fuel cleaner first..then I'll go from there...
  8. Wow. need more pics...
  9. Funny, I was thinking the same thing...
  10. You put it in your Vibe? And it worked? Didn't know you could use it on newer cars.. So, you can put it in both your tank and in with your oil? Have you put in in your caprice? I think I might give it a shot in the tank.... Still thinking about adding it to the oil though...
  11. True. That, and you don't have to worry about rust for a while.... Some of the older Ecos are hitting 250 and even 300k with little or no problems... If they are highway miles, hopefully that means the engine should be in good shape...
  12. Agreed. The early Prisms are pretty good cars..though at only 115hp, I don't know if I would call it a joy to drive... It's the Prisms after about 97 that were pretty junky.....I looked at a 99 as a beater, and was not impressed at all...
  13. Eco(4) or V6? Lot of miles...highway, maybe?
  14. A Neon? Your kidding, right? A cavalier is much better car than a Neon, hands down-not matter what year..... We had a 95...though a lot of fun to drive...I think replaced about HALF the car... Cavys may be junky, but cost a heck of a lot less to own... 80 percent of the people I know with Cavaliers/Sunfires have had little or no problem with them...a a few have well over a 100k..one with well over 200k. I have yet to see a neon make it anywhere past 100k....(ours was already on it 2nd headgasket at 108k... ) My buddy works at a Dodge dealership...and when I visited him a few days ago, Their was an 01 and an 04 in with headgasket issues..... As a beater though, if you can find one a reaplced gasket, or a well taken care of engine, they do make a fun to drive (or abuse) beater... As far as a Prism-same problem as the cavalier-good engine- still kinda junky though....though the first ones up to about 97 seen to do quite well.... He might be in better shape with an old Civic.... Sorry DF, didn't mean to tear apart your idea apart..... I'm just old and long winded...
  15. Common problem on the later models, for some odd reason. Wife' 03 had the same issue with the rear ones...ok now.. Yours was an 02, right?
  16. Well, being a Cavalier owner (of 2, for now) What do ya wanna know? 1st car-also a cav. Longtime freakin member of Jbody.org.... I would agree with Cap on the quality...and they usually rust out before they stop running... (true with the wagon so far..) The 95-98 crowd tend to be rough on water pumps, and the 2.4 tends to crack (head) after 100k... The 2.2 is a good engine- serious lack of power (only 115hp) but will run a long time with little repairs... With that many miles-make darn sure you check the hoses and coolant... Many people are suprised to see rust on those years of car already (95-99) But the tend to rust quite easily...I've seen a few 98s and 99s with rust starting.. Just wash it as much as possible... Anything else, just let me know... They do make good beaters though...
  17. ? I've seen it-but really don't know much about it. Is it one of those replace a quart of oil with this kind of product? Does it work well in stop and go traffic? Has anyone tried it? Come on cap, tell me more...
  18. I always liked the Euros, both the older and newer ones...
  19. Yep, replaced the Pcv valve... I think i'm going to try another cleaner...though last time I did it it worked for a few tanks..and then... as far as additives, that depends...Usually it would be more for a quick fix, but with the expection for the really bad idle, and bad pick up-the motor and trans seen to be in decent shape. Once the car gets going..it can go quite well... It's something I would have to look more into... I haven't thought to peek under the car after a good long drive lately, I'm thinking I should-just in case...
  20. Hmm... The interesting part is that is runs better when cold...but as it gets warmer outside.. the idle can get pretty rough...you can see the engine shake... I've tried replacing stuff...and when the check engine light does come on...it can throw a different code each time...so it makes it tough...
  21. I have Virgin Mobile...I like prepaid phones...just use em' when you need em...
  22. Good looking car for it's age... I would mind one of those.... I just saw a really rusty 87 a few days ago...
