  1. That would be Tina Louise. Kind of a tart. That's all she was ever known for, I think. Wait...are you talking about the movie or the TV series? Bite my tongue.
  2. Some of them get really good plastic surgery. Have you seen Lindsay Wagner? She now does this bed commercial. She looks as good now as she did in the late 70s, though her look isn't particularly appealing to me. Speaking of really hot in another era - that would have been Jill St. John who played Tiffany Case in the 007 film "Diamonds Are Forever" - one of the best Bond films with the on-site location in Las Vegas. What a line: "so shove in a couple of gallons of 'hi-test' " She is now with Robert Wagner after Natalie Wood ceased to exist (what's that all about?). Jill St. John flirted with the border on being kind of "racy," especially in that film, but she looked really good. Another weird coincidence (since I tend to be an encyclopedia on Bond films): Natalie Wood's sister Lana Wood had a bit part in "Diamonds Are Forever" - she played Plenty O'Toole (never mind if you have to ask) who got thrown out of a high rise Las Vegas hotel window and luckily ended up in the pool many floors below. Later on, Lana Wood's character is found dead in a pool (water, again), probably because of her alliances to either the good guys or the bad guys...that part escaped me. Too weird.
  3. Easy for me: (1) Australian Shepherd (which is the only kind I have ever owned) (2) Border Collie (which is what I would have had if I didn't have the Australian Shepherd) I am sure I can warm up to other breeds. It's just that those are my favorites. Which ones are high on your list?
  4. This just dawned on me this AM. How effin' weird that this thread makes a loop from Marilyn Monroe to Natalie Wood -- both of their deaths were suspicious in nature and never fully explained.
  5. It's not that. It's that I have easily driven between my place in a Seattle suburb when I lived there and my parents' house in Portland 200 times, requiring that you go across Tacoma on I-5 en route. It is really, really sleepy...and the constant gray sky hanging over it doesn't help. Yes, Tacoma has some nice neighborhoods and, with all that water around, a lot of nice views. It's just that it's hard to think of Dyan Cannon (who is very 70s LA in my mind) as being from Tacoma -- she put that place in her rear view mirror real fast
  6. No way, Razor. I noticed the links and that's Dyan Cannon. Maybe they were of the same era (more or less), but in no way are they similar to me. Dyan Cannon plays "racy" half the time - Natalie Wood almost never did. Incidentally, Dyan Cannon is from Tacoma WA. Other than Weyehaeuser pulp mills, she's probably that town's only other claim to fame. (Tacoma is heavily ragged on by Seattle).
  7. Natalie Wood possessed classic beauty...along the lines that Rachel Ward or Selma Hayek (sp) would today. Incidentally, Natalie Wood was Russian, her given name probably being Natalia. And, if we were to open a tasteless joke thread, you've all heard the one: "What kind of wood doesn't float"? Back to the thread.
  8. Damn it, Reg, I always knew you were immature!
  9. Sattmeister, spending too much time thinking about "ball funk" will quickly drop your age to about....hmmm.....15.
  10. I just did mine again. I think I might have answered differently on 2 of them. I came up as 29 ....again! Meaning Camino and Moltar act more maturely than I do...and I don't want to buy into that. What do you say Stace, 29 forever?
  11. Heard this one tonight: "real-a-tehr" for Realtor
  12. You went there for me. That is one of the theories that is posited.
  13. A big "no thanks" for me. I thought it was ok for people who needed it to survive. It has now become a sport. I couldn't imagine felling a large animal...though if a moose was headed my way, I wouldn't think twice about pulling the trigger in self defense (I got real close to one on a Canadian Highway near Banff in 2003). There are some people I work with who do it. They don't seem to do it in the Sierra Nevada or in California. They tend to go to Montana or other more remote states. Not for me. Falling asleep on a warm beach on the Mediterranean: now you're talking.
  14. She tanked, didn't she? As did Kathleen Turner. Kathleen Turner is nowhere to be seen. But you can look at her and see that she was headed down that road. Towards the end, she sported some slack in the chin....like they say "you've got more chins than a Chinese phone book." It is impossible to look at someone like Anna Nicole Smith and even see sexiness. Given what she stands for (the epitome of avarice and deception), she is nothing more than a (now) washed up c*n*. I ask what is wrong with the old man's kids that they didn't punch him out and set him straight.

  16. Jennifer O'Neill is DEFINITELY NOT Tatum O'Neals mom. Different spelling and different gene pool. Good God! Yes, she has had a TON of problems...between 6 and 8 marriages, substance issues and even a suicide attempt. Why? Why? Why? Can't you just effin' try to be happy - I guess being exceptionally beautiful or handsome isn't a guarantee of happiness. At any rate, if you look at her website, she has found the Lord. Where was he/she/it in the interim? Whatever.
  17. I think it was around 1972 but it had subsequent surges in popularity in the 80s and 90s when it dropped from R to PG (without edits, just that things got more relaxed) and was re-released. And, then, the looks are different because it takes place in 1942 on Martha's Vineyard or the Cape during WWII. It is one of my favorite movies of all time.
  18. PB, I actually think the scrotal sac sports no "k" at the end, but I could be wrong.

  20. I will post my potential pair of labs found during a South American vacation at another time. I take it a Malamute is similar to a husky or sled dog, right? I would have expected this from a pair of pit bulls or Presa Canarios, but not this kind of dog. You have to do what's right for the dogs...and for you. Making the choice will be hard. How about parting with both of them and starting over so you won't encounter cognitive dissonance? I know - easier said than done.

  22. If someone is a business person in a suit during the work day and they have their fly down, I think they would really appreciate being told. I know I would.
  23. indecedent exposure fine
  24. Oh, no, Satmeister, you are importing this from the pre-crash website to the post-crash website. Let's let sleeping dogs lie.
  25. Try this link - if someone finds this lady attractive, I doubt they would find Jen, Jessica and Britney attractive - a whole different look. Jennifer O'Neill Summer of 42 stills What an awesome flick. A real classic.
