  4. Riding around with this bad boy open is sooo much fun! I love it! Are you going to be home later today? Maybe I could stop by and take that off your hands...
  5. For xmas I got a DMH electric cutout. It just got here yesterday and I wired it up that night. Then this morning I went and had the cutout welded in. It sounds like open headers! Definitely the best bang for the buck I have spent on my car! Here is the electric cutout... Here are some pics of the install... Installed and all wired up... Here are some videos of the cutout working and me having some fun... (my camera is really crappy!) http://s38.photobucket.com/albums/e145/sch...nt=HPIM0679.flv http://s38.photobucket.com/albums/e145/sch...=HPIM0689-2.flv
  6. I read that pride of ownership on another board a while ago. I think that it sums up exactly how I feel currently about my TA and how I will feel when I have my Camaro (black, to match the TA of course)! I couldn't have said it better!
  7. WOODWARD DREAM CRUISE As soon as the weather starts to warm up, I am already looking forward to it!
  8. Thanks guys! Total, it took about 2 weeks. I let the paint dry for a few days on the last few layers.
  9. OMG thats nasty! That belongs in this thread... Cheesy Fbody This thread has alot of miscellaneous interesting info... Miscellaneous Fourth-gen 'Bird info
  10. My hat goes off to the designer of the Firebird's hood. Nothing that I have seen can change the look of a car so dramatically like an hood on a Firebird can. Personally, I like prefer the WS6 hood to the Firehawk or even the raptor, Mecham, or Blackbird hood. The Firehawk hood looks real sleek which I like, but the WS6 hood just looks mad, which I really like. Also, I prefer the TA spoiler to the Formula. I think the TA spoiler makes an abrupt change in the line of the rear hatch. I think it looks more musclely. And since you got to post yours, I get to post mine. :AH-HA_wink:

LS1 I believe. I know how you feel, I looove that feeling.
  12. Here they are after a few more layers of paint and two layers of clear... Hopefully I can get them balanced and mounted tomorrow.
  13. I went out this weekend and took some pics. Check out my photobucket and let me know what ones you guys like... http://s38.photobucket.com/albums/e145/schuby87/Calendar/
  14. I thought it was something around there, but thats nothing the BFH mod cant fix.
  15. Alot of those are only 8" wide. Personally, I would be looking for something in the 9"+ range, at least for the rear. Nothing like the look of fat rubber in the rear.
  16. I picked up some stock brushed aluminum Pontiac wheels this summer with the intentions of putting some winter tires on them. I put it off all summer, but when we saw some snow last week I decided it was time to go home from school for the weekend and get this done. The wheels were really dirty and had a lot of the clear coat peeling off. First I cleaned them all with some water and steal wool. Then I sanded off the rest of the clear coat and put tape around the tires. The paint that I chose is called gunmetal, and is a silver/black with a little bit of sparkle to it. So after some primer and a few layers of the paint, thats where I am right now. I am going to wait for the paint to dry before wet sanding them, putting on a few more layers of paint, and finally putting some clear over that. Hopefully I can finish these up and have them balanced when I go home for Thanksgiving. I haven't seen anyone do this to stock wheels so I think it will look pretty good and unique. Hopefully the TA will look good with the black paint, black wheels, and 5% tint all around. Before: After:
  17. Is that SS emblem by the passenger side the old emblem from our Express? :scratchchin:

  19. Check this out... http://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?p...ram#post6708865 I'm sure there is a middle of the road variant between set ups like these and just a filter. Check out some GTO forums, your bound to find something.
  20. There are a few set ups for true Ram Air on LS1 GTO's, but I think they are a bit pricey. I remember looking at them over at LS1tech.com a week or so ago. From what I understand, the skip shift eliminator is just a resistor that doesn't allow the solenoid in the transmission that locks second gear to activate. You can do this with a 2200 Ω resistor from Radioshack. The ones that SLP and other places sell are basically the same thing, but are designed better and can just be plugged in. I would look for the cheapest. Here are a few sites that I have gotten my LS1 stuff from: http://marylandspeed.com/index.php http://www.ls1speed.com/index.cfm
  21. I saw your status on Facebook, how did everything go?
  22. Man, I tried 3 different cameras but none of them seemed to work real well. I guess my exhaust is just too loud! Sooo here is what exhaust is supposed to sound like... http://s38.photobucket.com/albums/e145/sch...nt=100_0533.flv
