My friend? Obviously he had a clue if he bought the winter tires when he bought the car. Don't mask assumptions about someone you don't know. You know what they say about assuming. Again, all season tires work fine in the snow, no matter what wheels putting the power down. No more of this arguing though...back on the actual topic.

Anyway, I don't ven know how we got to the argument, but since I don't care enough to reread 5 pages...so I'm done with it. The bottom line at the end of the day is that no Cadillac, especially not the flagship, should be FWD.

AWD is fine as an option, and yes most people are f@#king stupid and think that FWD or AWD is needed to get around in the snow. All I'm saying is 1.) That's not true. 2.) All it takes is common sense 3.) Give them the damn option of AWD, but FWD doesn't need to be substituted for RWD architectures.

It's not like snow tires are insanely expensive compared to the cost of buying a new car anyway. I'd love to see how my friend's FWD Acura TL would do in the snow with the performance tires it comes with...but see he's smart and puts snow tires on in the winter.

Oh wow, such a hassle. If you get all season tires it'll do just fine. The cars you mentioned are cars that come equipped with performance rubber. No $h! they're going to suck in snow. Put that kind of rubber on anything and it will suck in the snow. Facts are facts: RWD does as good or better in the snow. Sheeple are dumb and lack common sense, which is why you'll find plenty of FWD cars in a ditch. We drove the RWD Mercury 200 miles in a 24" (or so) snow storm in December. Highways were completely covered in snow. No problem. You can ignore the facts if you want, you tend to have a habit of doing so, but you don't need AWD or FWD to get around in the snow. And for fun: I drive the GM up and down that during snow storms to put it in the driveway. No problem.

Still haven't answered how much snow you got while picking your kid up.

Odds are good they weren't equipped with snow tires. How much snow did you get? Define "heavy snow"

No, that's not my reasoning. Of course it's good to offer RWD for the tools who think that they'll DIE if they get behind the wheel of a RWD car and a flake of snow lands on the grass 3 miles away. However the TRUTH is that RWD is more than capable in the snow.

Lamar, have you noticed how much cheaper looking the new PNY is compared to the old one?

Well with an automatic you don't have to keep pressure on the clutch in 1st gear. This can get annoying ebcause you want to only apply a little bit of power to keep teh wheels from slipping. Also, and this may be just me, it's a pain in the ass when wearing boots.

It really isn't a big issue, especially if the car has an up to date title.

The inside is pretty nice...needs work though, as I'm sure Sixty8 will tell you all about....the last owner was an idiot.

MOAR SNOW!!

I'm kinda bored if you hadn't noticed, and procrastinating a bit, but oh well. For those of you who have them, what USB flash drives do you use? I've got quite a few, some of which don't work anymore. I have a Memorex drive which I really liked, but the drive got bent so it's no good anymore. I have a Lexar 512MB Jump Drive from college...this stupid thing was like $60 from the school store. Still use it. I have a PNY attache Which I use from time to time. i got it as gift. Thi s thing is made from cheap plastic, and the case tends to slide off. I had an old 256MB one that was built better, but lost it. My other drive is a 1GB Corsair Voyager. I love this thing. I like the way i looks and how it's encased in rubber. Nicely built....but I fear I may have lost it. This week I plan to upgrade to an 8GB Corsair Survivor. This sucker's made from aircraft grade aluminum, which is great since these things get beat up being on the go all the time. Plus 1GB just isn't enough for what I do, so I think 8 gigs should be sufficient.

I should definitely try it, trying new things is fun.

So, I'm not a connoisseur of wine, or alcohol in general for that matter. That being said, I was wondering some of the more well versed could help me out here. I have no idea the various types of wine and what their name implies (Merlot for example). I'm looking for a wine that isn't overly strong (I don't like strong alcohol taste), that's smooth, and has a bit of fruit sweetness to it, if that's possible. Suggestions?

You know, I've never had Key Lime pie. One of those things I should try. I enjoy Lemon Merengue pie, and a good apple pie too.

You get used to it. Honestly the only thing that bugs me is when it's icy. Snow is fine. Anyway, here's a couple "Artistic" photos.

So, since we may not get many more big snow storms before winter ends, I grabbed a few this morning...I took some artistic ones too which I'll post later after I finish adjusting/framing them. 15 inches of snow from this one.

Ok with that done, I've got a few photos of the car to share: This would have come out so nice if only it had come in focus, but by that time my hands were going numb so I gave up.
