  1. Oh but on the brighter side I got the first part of my master plan to put a 300M interior in my Intrepid. Oh and the Shadow runs better than I ever remember it.
  2. If anyone noticed among the quibbling and the politics I decided to take a leave of absence for a little while. My reasons primarily being that the politic engulfed this site (which in and of itself is not a terrible thing), but brought out the ugly side of some members (a bad thing). It's pretty painful to watch just how petty and immature some people got, especially when they are normally level-headed. I decided that with enough issues at home to deal with the last thing I needed was to come to a place that was so disharmonious. I figured I'd comeback after election day to see if it would finally clear up, people would return to their former sense, and we could actually talk more about cars than politics. Of course there's plenty of bad news going on thought the automotive industry, which is particularly enjoyable to discuss, but there are good things going on. And that's where I find myself very disappointed with this site. The Paris Auto Show was barely covered, there isn't even a section dedicated to this year's SEMA Auto Show yet, are we going to skip over it? Someone needs to create a section or it in the 2008 Auto Shows section. As for personal life, it's been meh. I don't know if I mentioned this on the site before but my parents are divorced, however although my father was supposed to, under the agreement, give my mom 55% of the house's value (he was buying it from us by August 15, it's now November and we still have not gotten the money to get the hell out of here. He has not been returning the my mom's lawyer's calls. Yesterday came a letter in the mail that he owed $12,000 in taxes, and if it was not paid within 14 days the house would be taken. Took said letter to the lawyer today and she doesn't know what to do. Of course she is the most incompetent lawyer I have even seen, I wish we could sue her for her incompetence or at least get a new one who knew what they were doing. On top of that we found out that the Grand Marquis, which has been flawless up until this point needs a lot of work done to it. Apparently the oil pan is rotted and leaking, the rear axle leaks, the steering box leaks,, and the cat leaks. Oh and it needs 4 tires, though at least we have 2 good spare ones. This is a problem because we use it to go back and forth to get my brother and take him home from college every weekend, which is somewhere in the neighborhood of 340 miles. Need to get estimates on repairs, at least the oil pan and the rear axle. I'm betting the oil pan won't be cheap. So that's life in a nutshell. I'm back for now, as I do miss this place, but if we don't refocus on cars and keep the immaturity and bickering, I may reconsider.
  3. I remember going to computer expos to get parts back in the day...do they even have those anymore? Everyone just orders online now.
  4. I think I am going to go test drive a CC when they become available...I really like it.
  5. It was played on TV, go to, what you think it was made up?
  6. I just had the thought of having it professionally detailed. It's like magic...I have no idea how they get into all of the little nooks and crannies. I think that might be a good treat. Oh, and maybe if I've got the money a set of alloys.
  7. I've changed the thread name. The cat $h! on my mom's bed...again.
  8. I had such a hard time during the part of the exam where the doctor shined that super bright light into my eye...it was so hard to keep them open. I can do the other things, although I'm not good at whistling.
  9. No love for the Shadows Some Plymouth Voyagers had a fold-out bed option. That = win.
  10. Yeah I can't have contacts...I can't stand having something touching my eye.
  11. I kinda want to spend the 30 bucks to have the old glasses welded up so I have a "beater" pair I don't have to worry about scratching up when I do something that could cause that to happen.
  12. I feel like bitching. Why oh why does Flash require the player's skin be in the same directory as he index.html page regardless of where the actual video is located? I wasted hours trying to figure out the problem just to find this out
  13. Right well whatever. You believe what you want and I'll do the same. You can keep this up if you want but I'm done with it, so no more hijacking the this thread.
  14. With my Mind - Cold Love this song.
  15. Did Crush 40 have music in Sonic Heros?
  16. Yes they are.
  17. Yup, that's the lesson of paying more for something that will last then cheaping out and having it break soon after. Our recent issue witha Toilet seat backs up this theory. My old glasses with were around $200 lasted me 6 years or so before breaking in half...that was a fun week while I had to wait for new ones. Granted, those are prescriptions, and I probably wouldn't pay that for sunglasses either, because I rarely use them, and my next pair of glasses will be transitions...so no need, but they will cost around $200!. If you've got the money for it then all the power to you.
  18. Back to my car, the big 200 is coming up soon. How should I celebrate?
  19. Hmm I don't know, maybe because the Cobalt was mostly city, their I've seen mention that Cobalts don't exactly set the fuel economy charts on fire? Likewise some people on this very board claim it could have been a problem with that particular car, etc. etc. Likewise, the Mercury was all highway, all cruise. The numbers don't lie, but I guess they do and so does the odometer evidently despite the mileage being accurate. Like I said, I haven't made a comment about it in days, you're the one who hunted down a post to bring it back up again. I stand by the results I got, if you don't want to believe it it's your choice, I really don't care.
  20. Yep, pets have a knack for breaking things.
  21. That's one of the reasons why I like it...reminds me of the LH cars. How's the interior in the Routan?
  22. We're supposed to be moving...hopefully somewhere far from where we are now this month, so Halloween isn't really on my mind.
  23. Technically you're the one who took the time to find this thread and make a comment on it. You may not have noticed but I've dropped the subject entirely, it's not worth arguing over, however just now you insist on bringing it back up now.
