  1. I hope GM resolves the quality glitches quickly and take care of the ergonomics soon. Better control now before the ding of the magazines hit it hard.
  2. SAE numbers I think are not out yet. It may gain some HP. Propbably the way the exhaust might be set up. Remeber Lamdas were rated 265 hp before the SAE ratings and they jumped to 270 for single exhaust Outlook and 275 for twin exhausts.
  3. The son of a pig Tundra is not there? AND THE WINNERS ARE............ SATURN AURA AND CHEVROLET SILERADO
  4. Which dealerhip did you visit when you saw this V8 powered, one passanger race car with 700 horsepower? GM has 2.0 liter Ecotec 4 cylinders making 700 horsepower in race cars (NHRA) that does not mean ANYTHING in an argument about production cars. 227278[/snapback] I think 68 he is talking about the 2006 F1 car which is a 2.4l V-8 and had about 760 hp.
  5. I test drove an Acura TSX over the weekend and this is what the sales manager had to tell about the future Acuras 1. Acura TL will go RWD/AWD with possibility of a diesel V6 they are planning in 2009. 2. TSX will go AWD too in 09 with the 2L turbo from the RDX, which is already confimed for the 2008 with an addition of 2.2L diesel (est 200HP). 3. TSX coupe and a convertible (possibility here) is in works since RSX is dearly departed in 18 days. 4. RDX may get a 6-speed. 5. MDX and RL will be the chief beneficiaries of V-8. AND they are expecting another SUV, possibly a GL, RR, Escalade Competitor. 6. NSX with a V-8 or possibly a V-12 in 2009. We talked for almost three hours, and he seemed pretty knowledgeable when it came to what his cars were.
  6. Let us see how the SS-Turbo will blow off the Mazda3. Cobalt SS I always believed was a good race car. It is the quality which is killing it from being a really good competitor. What surprises me are the way these bitches from edmunds get their 0-60 numbers. C & D and Road and Track have seen the Cobalt SS/SC get under 6 (5.9). That is almost 1.2 sec faster than edmunds. But at the same time the Mazdaspeed3 numbers do not look that skewed. 5.6 (C&D) vs. 5.9 edmunds.
  7. To me Honda's sales remained constant. Look how pathetic the new Civic is doing. It is now entering the second model year and it already is down? Wonder honda is playing short of supply trick. Honda made a big mistake with the Fridgeline. CR-V, MDX expected to rise. What surprises me is almost 100% increase in TSX sales, when we know that the new one might crop up in the COBO hall.
  8. And someone wanted to have an alliance with this company. X-Terra, Pathfinder and Frontier are in their third model year (2005 was the first and they are already tanking in sales.) I am amazed by how much 350Z tanked. Wonder if they are gonna get a replacement. The MCE Maxima is also underpar. G-35 coupe has also dropped but considering a new one on the horizon people might be just hedging. Had it not been the Altima, Versa and the G-35 sedan, Nissan would have been in disaster. Titan, Armada are slowing too. Wonder how will GM's pickups do. Considering both Nissan and F150 down. Didn't Edmunds name the Titan most significant vehicle for 2005?
  9. If C&D humped Germans: Mazda MX5, Mazdaspeed3, Honda Accord would not have made it in their list of 10 best. Let us remember this too, this post was not about GM it was about how Lexus Failed.
