  1. Well, after sitting in the Solstice at my local dealer, I pass; you can have mine. The seats are strictly lousy with very poor bottom and back support and the driver sits off the left side since the seats are too narrow. The view across the cowl, hood and front fenders offers a very poor reference to the road. Instrumentation leaves much to be desired. No thanks! I am over the initial excitement; I pass! You can pay the premium price for a mediocre sports car. sports car. Not me.
  2. Looks great! But after sitting in one at my local dealer I'll pass. The seats are absolutely lousy with very little support on the bottom and back! Also the seat bottoms are too narrow thus leaving the driver sitting off the left side. The driver position sits too low in relation to the cowl and the view across the top of the hood and front fenders thus making the forward reference to the road somewhat a guessing game. Also, no trunk or storage capacity. My prediction: This car & its twin the Solstice will sell well for about 2-3 years and when their market is satiated sales will go flat and then in about 5 years these cars will go the route of the retro-Thunderbird.
  3. First it was the predicted 2009 Ford Focus and now this from Opel. Are these awsome, knockout styling renditions just the work of some Photoshop hotshot or are they indications of what Ford and GM are planning to bring to market in the next couple of years? If Ford and GM had brought these to market already they would not have the freefall in market share that they are experiencing.
  4. After having driven a rental Ford 500 for 2 weeks I'd take the 500 over the Avalone anytime!

    2008 Malibu

Just proves the point that if GM's new Malibu is to be an ox pulling a cart there would be some yo yo's that buy them because they look different or some would say "they are so cute." The car market will always have the idiot buyers. Inescapable.
