    Sigh

well Its technically not my car but i pay half of the payment so when I drive it I do tear it up. red line shifts. When its wet out spin the tires and watch the tach bounce off the rev limiter. But at 40k I would not expect that to happen. So far this car has been a junk pile tho. Its a Shop queen for sure. Its a great car and all but the drive train is utter rubbish. handling superb, great utility. but its slow doesn't get posted MPG and has horrible shifts. I guess I will fix this and wont touch it. yeah the LeSabre was under 2 k has low miles but its pink. When i pick it up sometime in the next 2 months i will get pics. But 7500 for a 02 sierra z71 5.3L 90k tho but Its tempting. Oh well.
  2. I was watching Future weapons and found that they have a bullet that can be basically a point and shoot at 2500 yards on a cold bore shot. Thats very impressive I would bow down to that. But I remember reading about gravity, elevation, temperature, and all those other variables that effect a ballistic path. Its not like you can line up the cross hairs and go. you had to mentally do all the math from your GPS, offset your X hairs, and commit. I believe my longest one is 1,917 yards but about 5 minutes after that shot I don't remember anything but waking up that night in a Medic tent in unbearable pain. Sadly the Guy that saved me that day died on my birthday this year. But just thinking all the advancements makes me happy though. No one wants killing but you cant stop it. Its just I cant believe there has been that much advancements in a couple years. Maybe I will go in to story time one day. Oh and If you call the Department of Defense apparently I don't exist neither did the few of us nor our actions ever existed... Even I Cant find my self in the FIA (Freedom of Information Act) The past is that past and the future looks brighter and that all that counts right?
  3. um yeah For us Michiganders. Lake Tahoe is nothing or lake mead. If you hang out in the up there is some hills and mountains. Also When I saw The ocean I was not Impressed Lake Superior after a storm is much more impressive. And Pictured Rocks Compares to the cliffs. Although I only seen Cali at a week or two at a time I never got to explore much of it. but seeing a Different part of the US is always Fun.
  4. wow, BV you owned that. I mean you can just say things will be bad unless you see it with your own eyes. And I know you have no Bias. You just say your mind, then back it up.
  5. Really Royal Purple is no joke. We use there oils for our machines at the shop its F'in expensive for a couple 55 gallon drums. but nothing lasts as long or lubes better. It passes water/oil Stress tests and stuff Mobil one hasn't come close yet to Royal purple. but a while back i Think Hot Rod magazine did the test to prove there claim. AS a average driver though you wont notice anything. Do I use it. Rarely. plus they way i burn oil in the caprice I coulnd afford it.
  6. Personally I think the ranger is the best small pick up out there. And Consumer Reports is not the best source. Also I think most of us know as much as you do about the Industry because its our hobby. Its not like this is a extreme Ironing Board. I have only sat in a Colorado so there for i really cant give advice. But Kevin from work has one and he loves it Its pretty good at towing a trailer, 4wd'ing, and it takes wear good.
  7. do you still have the flu? or did you expirement with Crack, Meth and LSD in a convenient to go shake for just $29.99!

    Sigh

Its the 2nd least likely car to get stolen next to the LeSabre and Taurus wagon. Should this be time for a ecotec 2.0 DI turbo swap... But yeah I called other shops around and they want only about 200 bucks less than the dealer so its going to cost about me about 1600. I don't know i destroyed it in under 40k. WMJ i know how you feel but it is a 303k car thats a lot of general wear and tear. And you just got done with the trans swapping to. It might be cheaper than 68's Datsun to repair tho. easier to get parts.

    Sigh

How to destroy a 2003 Pontiac Vibe's Transmission in under 40,000 miles. Since its cold enough to freeze hell outside i decided to get the oil change at the dealer since i had a discount thing in the mail. Before i go I check every thing under the hood so i know if they are lying. I get to the Trans fluid pull the dip stick up its pure black and gritty with shinny metal flanks. "Oh $h!." Its still drivable some how. I ask them to check into it and 1,2 are toast and a couple of over gizmo's are toast. Also i have a Valve Ticking now from cylinder #4. I will get the estimate tomorrow. I guess driving it like you stole doesn't work in modern Econo cars. Wheres My old Geo. Plus i have a great deal given to me on a 02 Sierra Z71. but I don't want to spend money right now. The DTS is gone. A 98 Lesabre coming in. A New House coming. And so much other crap Some one help me..... Please...
  11. understood.
  12. i never seen a truck where i could lean my hand against the bed and the sheet metal buckles in like on a Saturn ion. Besides my 01 silverado saved my own a 2 others lives at 70+ mph in to a cement barrier. And they just made it safer.
  13. it was generally a close game. I kinda wanted both to win but colts were the better team and manning final gets his super bowl. To bad it was against the bears though.
  14. well i guess I'm not going to work on 2 reasons. One the Shops heat is out 2 the caprice can barely turn over. the ignition was frozen. I took all i had to get it to the ON position.
  15. Hope everything goes all right man! What are they doing putting a more better one in or is the current one just too old or something? Fill us in.
  16. seriously if it comes here i would buy it over a truck because I dont off road that much any more but need the bed of a truck. as long as it can hold several tons in the bed.
  17. You now its cold when your car doesn't want to start This spring time for a high torque starter and yellow top battery. my starter can barley turn it over and as soon is it fires i let go of the starter and the engine stops so i have to scratch the starter a little but then she runs good for the rest of the day. And how come your cars always break down in the winter? looks at truck in anger in the back yard... So far tho this winter has been very mild so im pretty happy. I hope we get like 4 feet so i can call in and sit on the couch and watch bob barker with the better half... oh how i dream...
  18. The media's job is to interpret info for the better not to put a opinionated selfish twist into it.
  19. I'm not one to post bad news but I hate when head honchos steal money for personal use. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/6329173.stm BBC NEWS Hyundai head faces trial verdict The chairman of Hyundai Motor Company, Chung Mong-koo, is to face the verdict in his corruption trial on Monday. On trial since June 2006, Mr Chung is accused of raising 103.4bn won ($110m;£56m) illegally for personal use and for paying lobbyists. Earlier this year, South Korean prosecutors recommended that he spend six years in prison for embezzlement. Analysts say if Mr Chung goes to prison it could harm both the country's car sector, and the wider economy. Suspended sentence His imprisonment could "have a grave impact on the industry as well as the national economy," said Yong-Dae-in, an analyst with Goodmorning Shinhan Securities. Hyundai - the country's largest car firm, and its affiliate Kia Motors, which is headed by Eui-sun, Mr Chung's son - represent some 70% of South Korea's vehicle exports, making it a vital part of the economy. As a result, a suspended sentence is likely say analysts. Lawyers for Mr Chung have argued that the chairman should be granted a suspended sentence because of the damage a jail term might mean to South Korea's economy. They also cite health reasons. Mr Chung has previously asked for leniency and promised to improve the firm's corporate governance. The trial comes as Hyundai faces labour unrest as well as falling sales, as it faces tough competition from Japanese firms. The strength of the South Korean won has made it harder to export vehicles, with 2006 seeing a 35% drop in net profits. Improving corporate governance is one of the most important tasks South Korean companies are facing Kang Sung-goo, South Korea's secretary general, Transparency International Following his arrest in April, Mr Chung was away from the firm for more than two months, during which time crucial decisions over pay and overseas plants remained unresolved. The decision on Monday comes after another recent case, also in the Seoul District Court, gave the former head of Doosan group, Park Yong-Sung, a three year suspended sentence and a fine. There has been reluctance to tackle corporate misdoings. "Improving corporate governance is one of the most important tasks South Korean companies are facing" said Kang Sung-goo, the country's secretary general for Transparency International. The court session is set for 0100 GMT. Story from BBC NEWS: http://news.bbc.co.uk/go/pr/fr/-/2/hi/business/6329173.stm Published: 2007/02/04 11:58:55 GMT © BBC MMVII
