  1. Thank you to whomever updated the description line for the "Future Buick Models/Concepts." A website has the potential to be kept as current as possible, and this small example makes a lot of difference!
  2. Finally, a small Buick! (Or is that just a rebadge of another GM golf cart ?)

According to AH-HA :AH-HA_wink: , each is a "Quick Fix Pontiac." Read for yourself.
  4. Are we anticipating that the Buick Enclave will ONLY be offered in the Cocoa color, or will there be different colors available?

    Beyond Precision

Buick'site has now been slightly revised to include the phrases "Beyond Precision. Not Beyond Your Reach." It also puts emphasis on comparisons of the various Buick models vs. competitors' vehicles. Buick.com

    Beyond Precision

Just saw a commercial for the Lucerne CXL on tv, in which it said the car was quieter than some Lexus model, Acura model, and Infiniti model (it named the specific models, I just didn't catch them all) and started at $25,990, I think it was. But what really perked my ears up was the very last statement: "Buick... beyond precision, not beyond your reach." How do you like that line?
  7. I know that Saab was mentioned, but is GM asking this on Pontiac's potential behalf - to perhaps take it in a totally new direction?
  8. "99 percent" similar? Sounds good to me. Woudl it be correct to say that the Enclave is a more stylish and luxurious replacement for Rainier and Terraza, and that the '09 Buick Theta will be the literal replacement for the Rendezvous?
  9. This is the new (1/12/06) topic at the GM Fastlane Blog site. Please do as I did and post some positive feedback about the Buick Enclave. Buick and GM need your support and encouragement, and this vehicle deserves it!
  10. thegriffon: Do you think its size will work for it or against it with the public? Will the production Enclave change size? Is the potential Buick Theta crossover likely to be similar in style? AFTERTHOUGHTS: I just finished reading the latest issue of autoextremist.com. Peter DeLorenzo says, "This vehicle is too important to the division and to GM itself to let it languish behind the Saturn Outlook in the corporation's predetermined launch cadence. It's that good." So my questions are: 1) What is the chance that GM will move up the launch date of the production Buick Enclave? and 2) Given the tremendous positive reaction to this vehicle, how close will the production version be - or is that set in stone even at this moment? AFTERTHOUGHTS ON 1/12: The Buick Enclave concept is the new (1/12) topic at the GM FastLane blog site. Please do as I did and post some supportive and encouraging feedback for Buick and GM. The Enclave merits it!
  11. Is this Enclave in clay above (is that why its gray)? Whatever it is, why is that worker setting things on the hood? Wouldn't it mark up the surface for what is, at this point, a costly or unique example?
  12. Northstar: Thank you for the colors. I might pick silver, but it would depend on what interior goes with it. bring_BUICK_back: Keep the faith - Enclave is coming.
  13. I know that we can only see a small portion, but it does look substantial, upscale, and, to use Lutz' words of long ago, "like a fine jeweled watch" (or whatever he said).
  14. Looking good, and Paulie's new picture is not bad, either.
  15. Then I can only offer my apologies. I guess it is with other Chevy vehicles. Thank you, Bimmer325.
  16. While reading stories about upcoming auto shows, I noticed a vehicle in a photo which accompanied an article in the Lansing State Journal, "GM plans huge splash at auto show," by Barbara Wieland. Is the vehicle to the left of the two vintage Camaros the Saturn Outlook? Here is a direct link. It does not seem to be the Relay, so my guess is it's the Outlook.
  17. While I cannot discount the importance of the Buick Lucerne and the Buick Enclave being successful in the marketplace, I don't think it is correct to compare Buick's sales to Olds. Buick is no longer a full-line make; it is part of the Buick-Pontiac-GMC channel. You can't possibly expect it to sell today in numbers comparable to the past, given the model line-up. Buick's sales could have been down much worse, given that they discontinued the Century, Regal, LeSabre, and Park Avenue, and the remaining products were weak (mediocre LaCrosse, rebadged Terraza, aging Rendezvous). At the same time LeSabre was sold-out, Buick had no Lucernes to sell until very late in the year.
  18. I can't draw or photoshop, so please try to imagine what I am trying to describe: make a big, bold, beautiful Buick with heritage cues lots of chrome in particular, portholes and the sweepspear as on the 1953 Skylark paint below the sweepspear white leave above it whatever color for a two-tone effect maybe even whitewalls for the concept show car
  19. zoomtm: Thank you! I think you've unwittingly stumbled across a cartoon of the Buick Enclave! That must be it! :CG_all: P.S. - Just in case anyone thinks otherwise, "unwittingly" is not an insult. It means by chance, accidentally, inadvertently.
  20. My thoughts? That this should NOT be in the discussion of "Current Buick Models."
  21. Hmm.. calls for a new advertising campaign... which shows elderly owners fighting off crooks and attackers... Buicks: built tough, just like their owners! :P Or... Buick: Beyond Precision. Buick Owners: Beyond Sanity. :P
  22. I thought it had been stated that, since the NG Lucerne was likely RWD, that eliminated any need for another large RWD Buick, aka Invicta.
  23. <_< Gee, with all the interest in building something like a Buick, GM needs to step up its Buick revitalization.
  24. I wish you hadn't used the words so far. What's left to cut? Hasn't GM damaged Buick enough yet?
