113 MPG Next-Gen Prius???
Actually, the Prius and Civic Hybrid get AT-PZEV ratings.

Outlook Horsepower/Torque Question
Nah, I think it's the new, more anal SAE guidelines. The GM of old, which had horsepower that always ended with a multiple of 5, would have given 270 horsepower for all.

2007 Pontiac G6 Changes
That's good news, though it's disappointing that side torso airbags are still optional. The HF3.6 availability is too late to make much of a difference, and it's attached to a car that doesn't have much going for it.

Outlook Horsepower/Torque Question
The XR model has a less restrictive, dual-exhaust system. I don't think engine tuning is any different.

2007 Equinox changes
Not quite... the RAV has a much larger interior and available third-row. The $17,390 VUE comes with a manual transmission, btw. To get it close to the $20,300 RAV4's spec, you'll need to add ABS ($600) and automatic ($1,355).

113 MPG Next-Gen Prius???
Lithium-ion? From Apple website... "Lithium-ion batteries pack in a higher power density than Nickel-based batteries. This gives you a longer battery life in a lighter package, as Lithium is the lightest metal. You can also recharge a Lithium-ion battery whenever convenient, without the full charge or discharge cycle necessary to keep Nickel-based batteries at peak performance. (Over time, crystals build up in Nickel-based batteries and prevent you from charging them completely, necessitating an inconvenient full discharge)."

CAR AND DRIVER $15,000 COMPACTS
Woa, woa, woa, don't be unreasonable now. Our 240-hp Odyssey does 0-60 in 7.5. I can't see how a lighter, 265-hp, AWD MDX can't be even quicker.

....
Cool... it's like a poor man's G-wagon.
-
New York: 2007 Mercedes E-Class
No, that's Distronic+. PRE-SAFE prepares the car for crashing; it doesn't help avoid them.
-
Honda may cut production of Accord hybrid
No, like their MPG and horsepower figures, they're just really conservative.

Honda may cut production of Accord hybrid
And it's not like the Camry hybrid is slow. In fact, its 0-60 is quicker than the Malibu V-6's.

What if....
Is there enough corn? Are there other, more feasible ways of producing ethanol? What about sugar cane crops? The idea sounds great, though. And it's not like it's particularly difficult to make a car E85 compatible. Kinda reminds me of the leaded/unleaded fuel situation.

Edmunds: 2006 Buick Lucerne Full Test
Wow, finally good photography from GM.

NEW HYUNDAI ELANTRA
Meh, and Hyundai claims that the Sonata's interior is "full size". It certainly doesn't seem that way.
-
New York: 2007 Kia Sorento
It looks the same to me... The specs are very impressive, though, especially if the price doesn't go up.
-
New York: 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander
The specs seem world-class... six-speed automatic, aluminum roof, Bluetooth, ESP, keyless ignition, sat nav, on-board hard drive, rear-seat DVD... very impressive.

CAR AND DRIVER $15,000 COMPACTS
Damn, each post is getting more and more ridiculous.
-
NEW HYUNDAI ELANTRA
Looks like a 2003 Chery or something. Even Geely makes something nicer...

SATURN AURA RADIATES STYLE, REFINEMENT
Then by that same assumption, all new GM cars are POSs because their previous cars were. Or not. That's probably why I don't buy a car based on perceived reliability, as experiences always vary.

VOLKSWAGEN RABBIT SPRINGS INTO NEW YORK
Yup. And anybody who buys a $15K Fit or Yaris without considering one of these must be clinically insane.
-
113 MPG Next-Gen Prius???
It's only going to get better and better.
-
New York: 2007 Acura RDX (production version)
It looks like a reskinned Mitsu Outlander.
-
SATURN AURA RADIATES STYLE, REFINEMENT
The new Passat, Jetta, and GTI share nothing in common with the B5 Passat.
-
The Aura needs better wheels and piano black
And PLEASE, please give us a 4-cylinder/5-speed manual powertrain. Not everyone wants a big V-6.

The New Infiniti G35
I wasn't expecting much (I didn't expect a redesign so soon), so I'm pleasantly surprised.
