  1. Very sad times for the commercial aviation industry. One almost wishes for reregulation...
  2. Its not an RX300...its a 330...
  3. How many times have you heard "More powerful than _____" in an ad? That 'power' is figured from horsepower. If Toyota et al purposely fail to accurately convert their ratings as TheGriffon pointed out, then they're guilty of distorting the facts.
  4. The big question mark are the cloud car sucessors.
  5. Can...can I kill him? Seriously. Nice 5th grade Flash presentation, Honda.
  6. Horrible steering wheel design. I have a feeling bits n' pieces will be dumbed down for the American market and this may end up being more Amanti than Lucerne.
  7. Don't know if I'd trust a French car with mechanisms that complex.
  8. Volvo with the safety hood. Blech. Ugly lines even uglier.

    GOOOO BUICK!

And if we add up all your ages, it'll equal one normal Buick driver!
  10. Imagine a $25,000 SSr with a manual ragtop and an Atlas I6. That would be hot, too.
  11. Yeah, you want to be me. j/k :P I stopped by Dimmitt Cadillac in Clearwater today to see if they had and literature on the '06 DTS. Better than taht, they had a black one out front. Cool. I go in and ask around and, well, they've got the car, but no brochures yet; they're on order. However, the man and woman in the lobby directed me to a young lady who offered to show me the car. Uh, sure! So, my early impression of it is that I really do like it. The redone front and rear clips make the DTS look smaller than the '05 even though its an inch bigger. No uneven gaps, nice soft-touch materials, and the Northstar purrs like a kitten. So, we're talkiing abou the car and she asks, "want to drive it?" Uh, yeah! BUT not today. No, I swung by there for a few minutes because I wanted to meet my girlfriend for a few before heading back to work where I am now. So, I asked if she'd be there tomorrow so I can test drive it, and she said yeah and she wrote down her cell on the back of her card so I cold call her on the way in to make sure she's free...I bet she thinks I'm hitting on her. But, yes, tomorrow is DTS Day. And I get to drive the second one they had deluivered - one was already sold! Anything you guys want me to ask specifically or find out? Let me know now!
  12. I was under the impression the entire point of a CVT was to eliminate any shifting effect one ahd with a normal step gear transmission. Just one, smooth motion of acceelration.
  13. Corgi cars from decades ago are awesome. I wish I could go back in time and buy them all because they had some real net realistic cars.
  14. Ah, I'm just being a smartass.
  15. So, would that make the computers on my college campus Ford Contours?
  16. Stockpiled booze, eh? I see the lack of C&G hit you hard. :P See, like Rich, we's all live very productive lives if it weren't for C&G.
  17. No. He didn't point out the lack of RWD nor post a picture of a Camaro.
  18. Town Car C-pillar with 626 tailamps and a GAZ Volga's grille.
  19. Well, we're back and kickin' butt, so we decided to make a few revisions while we could. Allow me the break the changes down for you. The Other Guys has now been broken down into four distinct sections by geography or company - Ford, DCX, Europe, and Asia. We decided the placement of each individual make should be based on what's commonly accepted as 'country of origin' (Japan for Nissan though its French-owned) and ease of grouping (a new platform shared by multiple Ford divisions placed in Ford rather than Ford, European, and Asian). C&G takes pride in our easy navigability and we hope this will be easy and hassle-free for everyone. 2006 Auto Show Coverage is currently dormant but is certainly ready to be filled with the latest rumors and releases once auto show season kicks into high gear in the coming months. C&G Feature Articles combines the Member Articles and To GM sections with a single, better forum that will feature member contributions of all sorts. Any of you guys can go ahead and submit an editorial, an article, a historical retrospective, or a review of an automobile. If we like it, we'll post it and feature a link to it on our front page. This is an opportunity for you to be the editor and have your words be expressed to the tens of thousands of people who visit this site every week. More details to come! 2005 Sales Figure Ticker is the permenant place to go see the latest sales stats as we get them. Past months will be archived for a time. Member Showcase is where you can post whatever the heck you felt like drawing or chopping. Also, if you have a request of one of our talented artists, post it there. Some other forums have had slight name changes, but are still the same. Calendar - We'll be using the online board calendar more often to keep everyone abreast of things other than birthdays. Look for competition dates, press release times, auto show dates and the like. We hope you all enjoy what we're changing and rearranging. Please bear with us the next few days as we work towards getting everything back in order to being once again the best place on the 'net to talk GM. Thanks for your patience and support! :) -Brian Dreggors
  20. Yet another HHr today and one more Acura RL. One of the Project Managers at work offered to trade me his H2 for my Aurora for a few weeks...nah...he can keep his gas-sucker.
