Ohh. ohh... In Gatlinburg Tennesee.... "My real random thought upon logging in this morning: I wonder what Lorena and John Bobbitt are up to these days ..." I am sure we will get the long and the short of it.

I really want to visit this part of south America, and would love to retire there. It has a huge romantic appeal to me.

Your daily Bronco picture. Good review, I like these folks...

One more, near the beach, 200K, not bad... https://www.van-bevern.com/en/properties/house-near-the-beach-in-punta-colorada-pch711/

One more, needs de cluttered and modernized, good bones. https://www.van-bevern.com/en/properties/beautiful-historic-house-in-la-barra-lbh833/

Being agreeable is highly over rated. I am a good guy, but not a nice guy. Ones I am exploring in my Ranger, although doing them by maita with the top down was spectacular. Self portrait, Bill? Interesting retirement home. https://www.van-bevern.com/en/properties/cozy-thatched-roof-house-in-central-but-quiet-location-peh932/

I have to drop off some parts for a woodworking band saw to a machine shop not that far from you. WIll let you know.

Some cool old stuff in this yard... I think they build vehicles in batches and simplify construction costs by making certain items unavailable for certain trims.

Rock wool for insulation is the bomb if you can get it. Cuts down on sound hugely. The other book I am getting ready to start, along with Travels with Charley... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0989766535?ref=ppx_pt2_dt_b_prod_image Van had 300,000 miles at start of trip IIRC

Ohhhhh....my mother lives in Hendersonville, my sister in Black Mountain. I may have to drop in and buy you a few local brews and a pizza. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B089M1KSF2?ref=ppx_pt2_dt_b_prod_image One of the next books I am going to read. On another note, it's amazing how stupid and uninformed car salespeople can be. Was looking at a Wrangler, just killing time before an appointment and kicking tires in the showroom. Asked the salesperson if it had the same 8 speed as the 300, as I really liked the transmission in the Chrysler 300. Salesperson was like..."no, the Wrangler uses a Torqueflight 727 3 speed, been around since the 60's. Nothing else will hold up to going off road like that."

I have had those also....but love the whole rig and the drive! Sadly, Islamic state has jsut moved from middle east to African oeperations, apparently. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/11/11/world/middleeast/Mozambique-ISIS-beheading.html

And some Bronco Porn...I love this thing....Ford did this one right.

Keeping a US passport would allow me to live in several different places in retirement. I think saying the USA is good or bad, best or worst is insanely stupid. It's a country of 330 million people that's been around a couple huddred plus years. Lots of both good and bad in that time frame. Culturally, I am a midwesterner, and that is part of who I am so by default I am American. And as Americans we are more alike than we are different, I think. One more good but wet bike ride....then back to work. Different rider, still a great journey. I wish I had time and energy to buy a bike, but I am kind of maxed out in my life in so many different ways. '

If you were closer than Arizona, would gladly lend a hand... Actually lots of people retire to places with lwoer costs of living. I love this! Yenko stinger never grows old....I have lots of fond memories of seeing these vintage race. And one more to CCAP's comment about people with courage...this woman has it in droves.

Here is a church I was the head electrician on. They did something similar. It's really rather cost effrective.
