I reject this entire premise. For decades now, we have been promised the good stuff only to have it cancelled for junk no one wants. I doubt that GM is even able to sell the "boring" stuff no matter how good it might be. Sorry, but I don't have any faith in them anymore. As for the ST, this decision makes no sense at all from a business standpoint. No money will be saved, it has only been wasted on what amounts to a broken promise. I am now one of those they will have to win back - good luck to them.

Still thinking things through in the fog of another sinus infection. Too miserable right now to make any real decisions. I want a roadtrip really badly, but it just isn't possible right now.

Thanks guys. Like I said, I have some thinking to do. I wouldn't abandon C&G, but I think it is time for some new blood on the staff. Frankly, I'm pretty useless as an admin in the technical sense and the frustrations of not being able to fix things when they go wrong (or get old) has been wearing on me for a long time. I can't give C&G what it needs when it needs it, and I feel lousy about that. As 68 said, I need to re-boot.

Great post, SC. But as much as I agree with you, this thread is about so much more than all of that. For instance, I intend to resign from the staff of C&G. For another, I'm all but sure that I'll be folding up my business for the last time pretty soon. I've just reached the end of my tolerance for tilting at windmills.

There's alot more to it than my choice of vehicle, I've had it with the status quo in so many things. I have some thinking to do.

I am beyond burned out. My patience is gone. It's time for something new. Today's news is just another grain of sand on a huge mound of dissatisfaction with so many things. I need a radical shift in everything.

Actually, there is a fleet of these being validated as we speak. And then there was the naming contest, the presence of the car on the Pontiac site (still there today), the cost of tossing Holden's production plans into further chaos, and on, and on.... If they had simply said, no- we won't be building it, that would be one thing. This is yet another glaring example of GM second-guessing itself into oblivion. My loyalty is dead.
