  1. Noted. ...and thanks for the offer.
  2. Congrats Partsgirl, wish you both all the best.
  3. Good stuff guys! BBL knows about this thread, so I hope he'll be checking in.
  4. ...and the Formulas are quite rare (this one was an even more rare Formula 350). But it also looked to be a work in progress and the owner was not a youngster, so it may have a good future.
  5. Two sightings today: 1) a '91/92 Firebird Formula in dark green metallic. It was in rough, but saveable, condition. 2) a '95 ish two door Tahoe with barn doors in black. Gorgeous condition - I considered giving pursuit. :AH-HA_wink:
  6. Keep 'em coming!
  7. Movement is a good thing, however incremental, inertia was killing GM faster than any other factor. Leaving them twisting in the wind for so long has done great damage and made recovery that much more difficult.
  8. Could be an option, I'll explore the idea with the other admins/Mods.
  9. Excellent! This will be an important year for GM fans with all of the Heritage Collection cars that are being auctioned there. We should have some decent coverage with two members on site, methinks. :AH-HA_wink:
  10. That's right, BBL will be at the B-J auction representing the company in Arizona that he now works for. I have already demanded pics from him. So here's the deal, he needs a song list for his display at the show using car-related songs. So post-up your suggestions!
  11. The guy even has a '73 GTO! Very cool.
  12. Randomly found this old thread today, and since it still has unanswered clues I thought I'd revive it.
  13. Perhaps this thread should be about overplayed songs rather than over-rated songs?
  14. OK, I think I get what you are saying. But, I have been buying new GM products at a steady pace for years, so I think they would want to keep me doing just that.
  15. Zilch planned - don't really care if anything happens my way either. Just want 2008 over and done with.
  16. You know me too well. Even so, I would still choose the Suburban.
  17. Congrats to you, and good luck with the Caddy. I would have been a voice in the wilderness on this one: I have never liked the Escalade, and don't see the point of buying one over a Suburban. I'm just not into bling and gadgets, and wouldn't pay for them.
  18. An entirely unanswerable question. There are literally thousands of songs that are essential to me. Three examples that have been crucial to my sanity (in no particular order and not to the exclusion of others). The Moody Blues: New Horizons Temple of the Dog: Hunger Strike Pink Floyd: Wish You Were Here
  19. Somewhere I have the "Black Knight" version of that kit (sans camper top). It is still unbuilt, and purchased in about '78 or '79 I would guess. For some stupid reason, they decided to "equip" it with a V6. Probably why I never built the kit...
  20. I don't remember anything official, but we've had a number of threads featuring member's pets. Start one if you like.
  21. Low mile GTO would get my money first. Can't do the sedan thing.
  22. Steering shaft is the only one I have encountered.
  23. http://channels.isp.netscape.com/pf/story....amp;floc=NI-mo1
  24. I always have. And often give an individual car an appropriate name. (My '65 Oldsmobile F-85 for example, was known as the "Vile Bile" because it "puked" coolant all of the time) I usually called my Firehawk " The Hawk" and had a Chevy truck called "Swamp Thing" because it had mud stuffed way up inside the fenders when I bought it... I will say though, that I hate the term "Elky" when applied to an El Camino - it just rubs me the wrong way as does "Merc" for Mercedes ( I think of Mercury every time).
