  1. Killer survivor! Cheers. See the gauge on the radiator cap? I have one of those (more ornate than this one) that was repurposed as a picture frame for a picture of my grandmother as a young woman. I've always wanted to know what car it came from.
  2. B- Paid too much to build it, price is too high now. I wouldn't linger around it at a show. No vote.
  3. GM has been mishandling the potential for these cars for at least a decade and a half, so I think "suck" is an apt description of their track record. Maybe it is too late now to get it right, but that they blew some great opportunities is indisputable. They've been screwing this up for so long that it is cliche.
  4. All I said was - That would be pretty cool, especially if the Ute and Wagon were offered too - I didn't say GM would be out of their mind if they didn't offer the wagon or ute, nor did I say GM sucks for not bringing over the wagon and ute too. I was having a moment of hope, especially for the ute (though I would dump the Envoy for a wagon in a heartbeat! ). I know and don't expect the wagon or ute to arrive on our shores any time in the near future OK, I'll say those things then. They are out of their minds and they do suck!
  5. Boy, do you have that all wrong! The G8 actually sold quite well and it was the V6 cars that sat on lots.
  6. Ugh. Not another damned sedan, please.
  7. It finally showed-up!
  8. At the opposite end of the spectrum, we have "Hen's Teeth" - the ultimate Camino for '66. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/66-CHEVY-EL-CAMINO-396-4-SPEED-BIG-BLOCK-/180836784218?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item2a1ab6585a#ht_1227wt_604 You just won't find another one equipped this way.
  9. Hey, I don't mind doing that - I can't afford to be competition right now anyway. But, a '66 is a tough call - hardly ever see that year for sale. Only local example on CL: http://southjersey.craigslist.org/cto/2898385321.html She's a rough unit.
  10. I'm still not in buying mode - but the Chevelle would be fun to do.
  11. If I were doing this car, we'd be talking.
  12. I saw you show up as a watcher, and then you were gone again. So screwy.
  13. I think if I were to do this GTO, I'd want the 389 - but not the 3spd. trans. That would be like having a Chevy SS with a stinking powerglide!
  14. Well, a Chevelle would certainly be more familiar... But not really any more up my alley.
  15. Nope. This is all ebay's doing.
  16. Much the same as yours. I don't know as much about the various Pontiac v8s though, so I wondered about your perspective on it. Would this have been a 389 car originally? Don't think the ad said...
  17. Still not showing for me either. PITA!
  18. What did you think of the seller's parts list, Balthy?
  19. I'm so exhausted from dealing with the monster, I almost hope it doesn't show up. I haven't bought or sold on ebay in quite some time, and this wasn't the sort of welcome back experience that makes me want to again.
  20. Thanks guys. I hope it shows up with a search this time - what a freakin' ordeal! If it doesn't show up in search by morning, I'll have to go back to the phone. Or just say screw dealing with ebay.
  21. I just spent several hours on the phone with ebay support, jumping through hoops and repeating myself. Would someone do me a favor and click on this link to see of my listing is actually there? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330701073521&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649#ht_522wt_907 I hasn't shown up in an ebay search after I listed it this morning, then ebay thought I was not who I said I was so I had to re-list it. Now, I'm waiting (again) for "up to 8 hours" for it to show up in a search. I'd just like to know if you see it when you click the link. I'll check the search (again) later.

  24. I like the simplicity of this one. Cheers.
