  1. I've followed them off and on for quite a while, and the combination of low-mile examples being out there at about half of this price as well as the fact that it isn't a 6spd., 6.0, or a special edition just makes the price too high. At least right now.
  2. I'm sure that's true, but this is much more unique.
  3. I like the SSR too, but this one isn't the most desirable of configurations and the price is way out of line.
  4. What they said. Price Jeers bigtime.
  5. I've been advocating a move like this for years, a big Cheers to Honda for pursuing the idea! Well GM, how about it? Chrysler? Ford? Let's do this.
  6. Welcome!
  7. Dirty pool will always exist (especially in congress), but CNG vehicles are an idea whose time has come. Commercial trucks and fleets are a start, but private trucks, large cars, and performance cars are the place to make it count. Smaller cars could follow later. They should all be tri-fuel at the beginning (gasoline, CNG, and E-85) - later they could be optimized for dedicated systems.
  8. Moves in the right direction, but more needs to be done. Please, Mr. President, take a hard look at EPA roadblocks to converting existing vehicles to alt fuels - then remove those roadblocks.
  9. I just question the wisdom of focusing on Europe (right now, at least). Seems a rough gamble to me. BTW: Holden is still makes a profit as it is...
  10. There is nothing wrong in disagreeing appropriately. It is healthy to do so. I would not want you to agree all the time or you would never have a point to make that I already would have myself. Camino you help me form better opinions when you disagree. You either change mine opinion or you make me stock up and better support my opinion. I am ok with anything you say as we may not always agree but I respect what you say. I hope you by now already know that. No worries, I just wanted to shunt the Holden issue aside a bit since we've been over that ground before.
  11. Hyper: You know that I strongly disagree with you on all of what you say about Holden, so I'll just leave it at that. As for Opel, and GME in general, it remains the rotten tooth in GM's mouth and I wonder if efforts to save it are a complete waste of time and money - lots of money.
  12. Throwing good money after bad? And is this the altar they plan to sacrifice Holden on? I'm less than enthusiastic about this "plan".
  13. I think reality is starting to set in and people are finally realizing that we need to apply the solutions we have at hand to address the problem right now, not decades from now. It's a very good thing.
  14. Been looking into this for the last hour or so. Seems that there are some local places to refuel with CNG, and a home refueling device is available. Also, state and federal funding is in the works to expand availability at refueling stations - especially here in PA. And, diesels are being converted as well and put on the road now in big trucks. Imagine a CNG Duramax! This, and cellulosic ethanol are the immediate way forward - I just hope it sticks this time. The automakers should start with flex-fuel capability for a wide range of product.
  15. Wait a minute, surely these trucks are also E-85 compatible. That would make them tri-fuel vehicles. I really like that!
  16. Doesn't get much more unusual than this: http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C148226
  17. Interesting curiosity, but a jeers due to price. A school where I grew up used Checkers for many years. Most were the standard cab version (in blue), but they also had an 8-door wagon. Wonder what happened to that thing.
  18. Sounds like a truck.... or a tractor.
