  1. Interesting car at a good price, no?
  2. Now that's different. Obviously a sales tool.

  4. Ugh, pace car Corvettes. Most are tacky, if not outright ugly. This one is pretty bad, but the '98 is far worse. The '78 is an exception to the rule. If you like the '95s, the one to buy is a gently used ZR-1. Jeers.
  5. If it were a 2-door or a wagon...
  6. Late 60s/early 70s Mopar too. SoCal for sure.
  7. Over priced by about 50k. Price Jeers.
  8. Not sure exactly, but it's been some time...
  9. Sweet little rocketship. I'd have to do something about the ugly wheels and dash, but what fun it would be!
  10. I think you made the right choice this time. You did a great job producing a very readable editorial. Opinion is what that form is all about - don't second-guess yourself.
  11. I like the package, but doubt I'd like the price.
  12. Big and ugly, in an awful color combo, but still kinda cool. Cheers, if it goes cheap enough.
  13. I think I was a gearhead at birth - but owning quite a few performance cars over the years didn't hurt. Being 17 and owning a 454 Camino SS w/4spd. sealed the deal. I expect that a gently used LS1 car would create the same effect today.
  14. Did a bit of reading on it, and things don't look good. I want Holden to continue building cars - they are GM's best IMO. But things don't look good.
  15. GM lets this stuff expire all the time. Why? I have no idea.

  17. SLP sure knows a good name when they see it: http://slpcars.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/PantherHandout.pdf
  18. And you'd be wrong. GM had to negotiate the rights to the ZL-1 moniker away from SLP who had claimed it and produced a Camaro package first. The article makes it clear that SLP has the rights to "GNX" as well.
  19. SLP sure has been on the ball in snagging the rights to some valuable trademarks lately.
  20. These days there is only a handful of individual models from any manufacturer that I actually like, so the question doesn't really have much of an answer. That said, I've always found Land Rover to be an overpriced bag of useless air, with the exception being the Defender 90. Got a soft spot for those.
  21. This is nothing but a low-mileage used car - it has no collectible value. Buy it and drive it until it dies, then throw it away.
  22. You saved me the effort, Balthy. This thread should be a must read for all product planners at all automakers. And I think dfelt is right, those of us in the 30-50 year-old range need to get off our asses and show the youngsters what they are missing. That's no judgement on those of genY, that's a judgement on we older ones who failed to show them just how cool things in the real world can really be.
  23. The EPA needs a choker collar, and a strong arm to yank the leash.
  24. Excellent read! Great job!
