  1. Again, it doesn't have to be a vehicle that is interesting specifically to you. Just needs to be a vehicle that would help the brand it's associated with and take very little work to get back in refreshed form.
  2. New, Previous gen 9-5s, right?
  3. As everyone in this thread very well knows, it doesn't take a post rating system to drive away membership. The kind of bickering in this thread however.... quite effective. A poll is unnecessary.
  4. Because we don't need a post that says "+1"
  5. Can it be mean spirited? sure. Is it always? no... not even sometimes. For instance: You have 3 times as much positive rating as you do negative rating..... it would have been an even bigger multiplier if one person in particular hadn't gone hog wild with the -1s on you today. However, the only ratings you've given out (2): have both been negative.
  6. The Ford traction control nanny is a lot less aggressive than the GMC one. You can spin the rears on pavement easily without even trying. The reason I mention this is because I stepped on the gas coming out of a curved on-ramp and the rear end broke loose.... on dry pavement. The GMC has Stabilitrak. This Ford needs it.
  7. I see the post rating system as nothing more than clapping or jeering during a debate. Who said I can't rate a post AND respond?
  8. After just having the GMC. The GMC is smoother (by a lot), but the Ford is somehow quieter. There's no mistaking it for anything but a diesel though. While the engine is quieter, that also means that turbo whistle is more noticeable. There was little to no noticeable turbo whine in the GMC. Another thing that jumps out fairly quick. The 6-speed in the GMC is like butta it's so smooth. The Ford has harsh shifts.
  9. FOG, the whole point of C&G is to come here and argue about the things we love the most. The whole point is to disagree. How interesting would C&G be if every post was "THE CAMARO ROXZORS@!!11!" +1 +1 +1 +1
  10. HAPPY HOLIDAYS From CheersAndGears.com and the Ford F-350 SuperDuty Happy Holidays from CheersandGears.com and the Ford F-350 SuperDuty to all of our members .... but especially to member Chris_Doane. Following up after the Interactive Review of the 2011 GMC Sierra Denali 2500 HD we now move on to Chris's favorite pursuit vehicle, a Ford F-Series SuperDuty Crewcab 4x4. So fire up the yule log, drink some eggnog, sit down with your dog, and send some questions to this blog... about the Interactive Review: 2011 Ford F-350 Super Duty.
  11. Interactive Review: 2011 Ford F-350 SD Crew Cab Happy Holidays from CheersandGears.com and the Ford F-350 SuperDuty to all of our members .... but especially to member Chris_Doane. For this Interactive Review, we have Chris's favorite pursuit vehicle, a Ford F-Series SuperDuty Crewcab 4x4. After just having a 2011 GMC Sierra Denali 2500 Crew cab, one of the first things that jumped out at me was how much more maneuverable the Ford it. Even though you're sitting up tall, and it's a longer vehicle than the GMC (246 inches v. 240 inches), it can dart in and out of traffic and through parking lots much easier than the GMC. In fact, had Chris been chased by the GMC instead of the Ford, it's likely the driver would have given up much sooner. However, it's certainly not such a clear cut contest and each vehicle has it's pluses and minuses........ so fire up the yule log, drink some eggnog, sit down with your dog, and send some questions to this blog... about the 2011 Ford F-350 Super Duty. 14. 1971 GMC truck. Used, but in good shape. No visible rust. Nothing a good paint job wouldn't fix.
  15. some people take the post rating system way too seriously.

  17. People with experience on Cavaliers. I have a friend coming over on friday who got a ticket for his license plate lights being out. He says he changed the bulbs already. I assume fuse would be the next thing, but that other stuff should be out too. What else should I check?
  18. free market and all....
  19. The Germans have something like that second one. If you have 100k euro minimum and a business plan to present, you can get a start up visa.
  20. Can you pick one that fits the rules though? It doesn't have to be something that you want personally. It can be something that helps the company win sales, or if you want, something that helps to destroy a company.... like bringing back Camrys, Corollas, Pruises, and Avalons with sticking gas pedals.
  21. My entry: The Chrysler Pacifica - It was well respected by the press when it was in production, though it never sold very well. You'd be hard pressed to find bad things written about it. It's sort-of replacement, the Aspen, was mocked mercilessly the moment we found out the name and what it was based on. A large semi-lux crossover is missing from the Chrysler lineup. It should never have been canceled. It should have been refreshed and kept on the Caravan platform. After seeing the refreshes that Chrysler has given to the Caravan and the goodness of the new Pentastar V6, a new Pacifica is a no-brainer for Chrysler to bring back.
