  1. fancy that.....me mistaking two Acura vehicles for each other....
  2. Today's Update: 12:00pm Starting point: No core support, no wiring harness, no fenders, no ECM 3:00pm Core Support installed, wiring harness installed somewhat 5:00pm Upper and lower fan shroud installed, Left inner fender test fit, 7:00pm Left inner fender installed, accessories that attach to fender installed, ECM installed The other parts that you can't see: While Dominic was treating and painting the fenders and core support with Rustolium, I replaced the sway bar linkage that had broken. Donor car... Hood is coming from this, fenders from a burgundy sedan And since some of you asked about Dominic's '57 parts car in the background
  3. I thought that power steering hose thing had been brewing for a while..... it doesn't feel like the first time I've heard of it.
  4. them kids is bein raised right.
  5. uh... I just got 25mpg average in the CTS last weekend on a road trip through PA doing 80. they must have beaten the thing.....
  6. This just in! Import Humpers Agree, RDX not overpriced!
  7. you don't need airbags in a rear collision, you need Active Head Restraints.... and you need to adjust your head rest properly. Please do yourself a favor and shop outside of Toyota's brands... if nothing else to be fully informed when you do make a purchase.
  8. Some maturing is in order for your girlfriend. "If you loved me you wouldn't care.." emotional blackmail bull$h! is stuff little 5 year old girls do to their daddy. edit: Sorry if I came across a bit harsh... just feel very strongly about this kinda stuff because this is what my ex would try to pull on me.... but for stuff far more major than which radio station we were listening to.
  9. 12" of snow > Cutlass ground clearance
  10. and costs......?
  11. Apparently averages over time mean nothing to you people. You can't take the average for the past 100 years then suddenly change the timescale to 12 months. and temperature is not a cumulative effect... a dramatic drop in temperatures over 12 months does not "wipe out" the damage and averages of the previous 1,200 months. NONE of the above means we shouldn't do our best to reduce our use of fossil fuels to remove dependence on the middle east nor should we stop doing our best to reduce the creation of pollution.
  12. not always... and I have the scratches to prove it.
  13. I think I just heard SMK's head explode. If this story is true, every post he's made that isn't logically inconsistent (not many) has been made moot. * dreams of an 8 cylinder 8 speed oldsmobile......I shall call her Eighty Eight *
  14. The Accord didn't get a V6 until 1995. I have a CTS now.... for another 2 days. While I do like the car, I'm tired of the ride over the terrible terrible roads here in Western PA. I'm replacing it temporarily with a borrowed 1996 Roadmaster Estate that I'll drive till I leave for Germany. Once I'm over there, I have no idea what I'll get.... I have my eye on a CTS 2.9 litre diesel, but the BF likes the Astra Twintop. If I were shopping for a car today I'd be looking for 1996 Fleetwoods.... if I bought new, I'd go either DTS or Lucerne.
  15. I don't have plans that far out and I'm only 4 hours away..... 3.5 if I unleash the power of this fully armed and operational battle wagon!
  16. you should really check out the group in my sig.
  17. so... I should make this thread unsearchable by Google unless Acura pays me one meeeeeellion dollars! *pinky finger to mouth* muahahahahahahaah mmuahahahahahah
  18. more posts than sales....
  19. I have a very very happy boyfriend. It's not always the range of the shot, but the rounds in the clip that matter.
  20. awww... come over here ya big bmw humpin lug! oh.... wait... I'm being called upstairs.... I'll be back in an hour.... or two.
  21. Not to rag on your driving, but you get 18mpg highway in a CTS 6-speed.
  22. The next Prius will actually be the 4th generation... 1st gen was Japan only doesn't add anything to the argument, I just like pointing out when you're wrong. GM effectively will be running 3 levels of hybrid technology simultaniously. Mild <Aura, Malibu>, Medium <Vue, Escalade and Tahoe two mode>, and Hot <Volt> In terms of level of effectiveness, Toyota's technology falls somewhere between GM's Mild and GM's Medium. The next Prius is supposedly just going to be a more efficient version of the current technology. As additional Two-Modes come online and the Volt enters the arena, GM will effectively pass Toyota in the hybrid race. Sometimes there are causes greater than just money. Many people buy hybrids not to save money, anyone standing between a Prius and a Corolla can figure that out without a calculator, but they buy them to help the environment or to help reduce our dependence on foreign oil..... yet you refuse to buy a hybrid because they don't save you money <like the CTS does....> When will you ever show leadership at this level?
  23. And this has to do what with the Volt exactly? Not the same supplier for not the same technology.... in short, completely irrelevant .
