  1. I totally agree with smallchevy's comments. However, if they keep a 5-speed, and do NOT offer a manumatic tranny, then they will lose lots of sales.
  2. Hey everyone, I don't post here much, but surf quite often. I hadn't seen this posted, but if it's a re-post, sorry. Spy pics of 08 Malibu I think it looks pretty good, the higher belt line makes it look "high-class" and the two-tone interior looks amazing, except the brown steering wheel.
  3. Well, i thought i'd "showoff" a bit in the Meber's Showoff Section, so here's pics of my 2005 Cobalt SS Supercharged Sorry if the pics are large...But enjoy!
  4. Sounds good, looks like the GM/Ford partership favors both companies...
  5. I love that black on red!! Reminds me of my Black over Red Cobalt SS!
  6. What is with DC making uglier and uglier concepts...the "bold"design works on larger cars, not compacts!
  7. You guys have alot of optimisim in regards to the turbo 2.0 going into the"G5", but i just don't see it happening. Chevrolet is GM's bread-and-butter brand, and being a filler car for 2-3 years, i don't see GM spending the money to totally rework the turbo plumbing to make it work. I know they say that Pontiac is their perfomance division, but they have never done anything like that before. I'd love to see a 260 horse G5, but i don't think it'll happen...maybe the 2.0 S/C in a GXP/GTP trim.
  8. Notice, 2 awards, 2 new RWD high performance 2 seat vehicles.....I think GM has that segment nailed!
  9. It does make things "seem" better. I paid 21,500 for my Cobalt SS Supercharged with the GM employee pricing....MSRP = 23,440.....The MSRP of the same car now 21,960. so instead of saving $2,000 i guess i only saved $500. (than if i would have bought it now.) BTW: That really sucks for anybody who bought a car yesterday!
  10. Wow....ugly....The thing looks like it was jacked up about 5 inches in the rear.....however the interior is NICE!
  11. Question: So for anybody who's seen it in person...is the headliner suede!? If it is that'd be awsome! also, the dash looks leather...that would also be very sweet...I love the fuel, oil etc. gauges, but i agree they are kind of hard to read....other than that. What an AMAZING car!
  12. As i searched this site and other automotive news sites the past few days, i've noticed one recurring theme, That the new lineup of Chevy SS's have been recieving the BEST reviews we've seen from a chevy in a LOOOOONNNNGGG Time! I don't know about all of you, but i KNOW that if they can build a whole line-up of great cars, why can't they build EVERY car that good? The Malibu SS, Cobalt SS, Monte Carlo SS and Impala SS are great, but why cant the base Cobalt or Monte be just as good as it's brotheren? That is my question. It's not a matter of can they do it (b/c it obvious that they can!) but why they don't do it! C'mon GM! If they built EVERY car to the standard that they hold their SS line-up to, EVERY GM car would be a class leader! Keep up the good work on your SS line-up, and don't let the standard fall due to budgeting in the next few years! Does anybody else feel the same way?
  13. Why not use the 3.8 S/C V6?(260hp) Or the 4.6 Northstar? (320 HP) I only have one problem w/ each: 3.8=too weak (the last gen base camaro's had 260, if i recall corectly, so thats not much of an improvement!) And w/ the 4.6, too up-scale/expensive for the base camaro. (The top-of-the-line LS1 Camaro SS's had 320 HP! TOO much of an improvement!) I think they should come out w/ a new 4.0/4.2 S/C V6 producing 290-305 HP for the base camaro. It would sort of have that BuickGNX feel to it! Also, i think it would be intersting to have a S/C base Camaro!
  14. Why not use the 3800 3.8L V6 Supercharged Series III engine in the base camaro? It's got 260 HP, (A bit low, in my opinion.) Or use the 4.6 Northstar producing 320 as the base? The problem i see w/ the 3.8=too weak The problem w/ the 4.6=to up market for a base camaro. I know that you want it to be a market leader, but the LS1 camaro SS's had 320 HP! So by using the 4.6, you then make the base JUST as powerful as the TOP-of-the-line camaro 3-4 yrs ago! I just think/wish that Chevy could produce a S/C V6 producing 290-305 HP. (Can somebody say GNX?) If a S/C worked for that car, why not the base camaro? I also think it would be rather interesting to see a S/C base Camaro!
  15. Ewww.... WAY to overdone....can you say RICE? But i do like the wheels.
