33 dead in Va. Tech shooting rampage
American news stations are all horrible. Period. Except of course for Fox News, which isn't news, just Rupert Murdoch's personal opinion put on the air.

33 dead in Va. Tech shooting rampage
The scenes from witnesses in the building sound absolutely terrifying... the guy just walked room to room killing everyone he could.

SHOULD GM (and Ford) MOVE OUT OF MICHIGAN
I don't see how GM owes anything to any specific state. Moving should be dictated by profits, which is the only reason GM exists.

33 dead in Va. Tech shooting rampage
This story is indeed shocking. Very rarely do news stories get worse over time. Usually there is some initial estimate that comes down drastically, but this story was the other way around. It went from 1 fatality to "at least" 20 fatalities in one press conference.

2008 Presidential Election - NOT political, please
I dunno if Obama's "spirit" is such a great thing... it's very Carter-esque.

2007 Buick Excelle
Clearly an economy car... it looks OK I suppose. For those who don't know, this is an updated one of these:

2008 Presidential Election - NOT political, please
Romney's house is in my town. Mass. usually has a Republican governor for whatever reason. Romney is a nice guy and means well, but he has absolutely no leadership ability or real stance on anything.

Unfortunately, the Lacrosse is coming out in early 2009, but the Lucerne is in fact coming out in 2011.

SHANGHAI: Buick Riviera Concept
This could be a couple of things: a concept for the Epsilon 2 Lacrosse, a random styling exercise, or an Alpha concept perhaps.

Saturn to get new Vectra Wagon for '09
The next Vectra and Aura are the same car, so they're just importing the wagon version from Europe because it doesn't make sense to build it here.

How is that a remotely good idea?

Land of the Free
Yet most Americans would not pass the citizenship test, as has been documented numerous times.

Land of the Free
Ha, hardly. How does being born here exempt one from having to learn the basic history of the country? Why is it even tested?

Holden Plant Production Halted By Giant Yabbies
They actually call something "Chazwazzes" in Australia? I thought the Simpsons made that up (bullfrogs).

Land of the Free
People who characterize immigrants based on a few bad apples are just spurious and ignorant. Most Americans wouldn't pass the citizenship test, there are plenty of lazy Americans who leech on the welfare system, there are plenty of Americans who run drugs and all that. Americans like to blame all the (perceived) problems in the country on this vague, faceless group called "immigrants" and rattle their swords every once in a while, while completely forgetting that most Southern and Eastern European immigrants often got here through semi-legal means (at best) and were certainly not at all welcome by the established folk. Chinese immigrants know this all too well. Oh, and the US has no official language. Many of the older aforementioned immigrants never learned English either; my dad's landlord in grad school in the late 70's came over from Italy in the 20s and couldn't speak a word of English till the day she died. Mexican immigrants have largely replaced the Southern and Eastern European immigrants of yore.

GM Holden may have to increase and extend dramatically its US export program
Why are GM imports better than all other imports? I think this should demonstrate that there should be no barriers to imports in this country--if it makes more sense to import something, you should obviously let them.

Land of the Free
You know, lots of Americans complain about immigration, but how many of them arrived in this country a) legally and b) with open arms? A small number I would say.
