  1. I'll take one STS-V to go with my Z06. Thank you.
  2. I predict a new V6 mated to a 5-speed automatic and the most revolutionary high quality interior on the market. Just like GM poured money to improve their GMT-900s - DCX will do the same to their minivans. When you own the segment - you can not afford to fall behind. GM was at risk of that with their GMT-800s like DCX was with their 2001 redesigned minivans. The Sto-N-Go seats managed to hold their ground while they do a full makeover - that is sure to be class leading. I predict they will debut at the 2007 NAIAS and go on sale shortly thereafter.
  3. Are there any other pictures out there? When will we see this? NAIAS?
  4. On a positive note, it appears as though the Silverado and Tahoe do not share the same dash. In one of the pictures you can faintly see the outline of the dash and it appears more square than the Tahoe's. I think this is a good thing, as long as the Silverado uses high quality materials. It would be great if the Silverado and Tahoe had different interiors like the Expedition and F150 do. I guess we have to wait three more months until these break cover. Any word on them (the Silverado and Sierra) having the bedside door like the Cheyenne concept?
  5. I am surprised that there has been no mention of the Yukon unveiling on either this site or GMInsideNews. I am very curious to see how GM designers differentiated the two. I am most curious about the Escalade that is to be introduced next month.
  6. I'm sure that the new Escalade will look good - let's just hope it is enough to justify the high price and silence the critics.
  7. I'm curious as to where the picture was found. I have been searching the net and haven't even found the teaser picture. Any ideas? CarSpyShots doesn't have it...
  8. I think the Dakota looks ok. The interior is better than the Canyon and Colorado. I wouldn't by the Raider because Mistubishi is too unpredictable. Who knows where they will be in five years.
  9. The car looks wonderful - but what will it look like in two years... GM needs to fast track this to production.
  10. Seems to be priced right. I know many people who don't mind FWD and do not like the high belt line of the 300C. My father who is 55 and a dentist loves the new Lucerne. He plans to get a CXS this fall to complement my mom's Town and Country Limited. I really think this will sell well. It looks so much better than the Lacrosse and offer's a high tech V8.
  11. He should have a seat on the board. I presume he is one of the, if not the largest individual shareholders of the worlds largest automotive company. If I had nearly 10% stake - I would want representation on the board. You don't get to be that rich on purely dumb luck.
  12. So our worst fears are realized - the four speed is the transmission you get with the 5.3L V8. Why? At least the interior is stunning. I sure hope that this changes over time. I guess we should be impressed that the Tahoe gets better than 20MPG with the old four speed transmission.
  13. How is the interior a letdown. I think the dash looks excellent. Easily the best in the industry. I have high hopes for the Yukon and Escalade.
  14. The lack of fold flat seats will more than be made up with the powertrain improvements and the exceptional dash. After all - the dash is what the owner looks at every day. I love it!
  15. That had better not be the extent of the "introduction" slated for today. I want to see pictures. Is it 9:00 yet?
  16. There is at leaset one completed sedan - since the media saw it a couple of months ago when they got the new product preview. Who knows what this is. If it is the Malibu as an 08 model - then we are really just 15 1/2 months from when GM can begin selling their 2008 models. Remember, January 2007 is open season on the 2008 models. The 2007 Chevy Tahoe goes on sale in four months and has had the styling finished for over 18 months. It is very feasible that this is in fact the 2008 Malibu.
  17. The new 9-3 Combi is not a Saaburu... It is as close to being pure Saab as you can get these days. Granted it is based on the Epsilon platform - this is clearly designed with Saab loyalists in mind. I predict this model to be a huge success.
  18. Now the Pilot is nearly as ugly as the Ridgeline. Let's hope this helps to drive people back to the American makes - especially with GM's new crossover's and full size trucks coming out next year.
  19. I predict that this will sell better than expected. If you can afford a $45K truck - then you probably can afford the gas. Besides - if you are towing a big boat or trailer then are you really worried about MPG? It will be interesting to see if the competition responds to this. By the way, now that the Expedition is dead and Hummer has the more tree friendly H3 - this will give the tree huggers something to complain about.
  20. This is great marketing. I too wish this had gotten more media attention.
