  1. It has a nice stance about it, good proportions.
  2. I have always liked these cars as well.
  3. When I was in a Pontiac dealer recently, the first thing out of the salesman's mouth was, 'did you notice they new GM badge?'
  4. FlyBrian, that Facination is facinating, had not heard of it. It almost looks like they used an acutual plane or helicopter body.
  5. I just saw a Volvo station wagon on the Simpsons. Homer was the passenger and I didn't catch who the dude was driving.
  6. I really am liking this car. What is the story behind it? I was just thinking what a great idea it would be if they had all SS models on the various Chevy models have the round tailights to set the series apart even more.
  7. Wildman, that blue and white van is beyond wacky lol. And that Mopar sedan with the woody, it just doesn't get better than that. The '38 Phantom is wild for it's time.
  8. I bet this vehicle will be a big success. I think we will see lots of them with massive chrome wheels. I could be the next 'cool' suv. I could be wrong, but I have a feeling it is going to be the next must-have suv. Just a gut feeling...not scientific.
  9. Blu, I agree about the new Subaru noses. They grow on a person after seeing them on the street. Very distinctive. I think so many cars have become so safe and vanilla that when a carmaker does something with a bit of flare, it is very polarizing. I saw a new short box regular cab Ford F-150 in the dearlers lot while lot loitering. They have made the reg cab a bit more roomier, there is space behind the seat and a small window beside door. It almost comes across as an extended cab in appearance. It's a very good idea. Saw one of my favorite Impalas today. A 1971 Convertible. I love the rear on these. The little vents on the deck lid. Also sighted a 1970 Ford Torino GT convertible in white with black top with the yellow/orange stripe on the side. I have to admit these were very good looking cars.
  10. Blu, this is so much fun, seeing you grow up before our eyes. What a handsome young man you are. ;)
  11. Balthazar, do you mean this emblem?
  12. Styling can rescue faltering companies. It has in the past. I like this concept alot. Very dynamic.
  13. I like that tailight treatment. Man, I wish they would at least to that on the 4-door SS.
  14. That is great news about Avanti and Studebaker still alive and kicking. I want these little car companies to survive, it makes the automotive world so much more interesting. Those shortened numbers are ourtrageous !! 4-Door Avanti:
  15. I was just looking at the terminology and noticed what they refer to as 'chambers' to identify what we call bedrooms. Also take note that there was the option of using am upstairs room as a toilet or storage room. Man have things changed. Yes and 'Insulbrick'...I forgot about that material! So much of it has been covered up with vinyl or metal siding.
  16. Goodbye Paulie1977 and welcome Paolino!
  17. He's a big boy now.
  18. Mustang84!....what a great collection of photos of the Quicksilver. Is it alright if I use for my collection? I have searched and only have one. I always liked this conversion.
  19. Automakers used to do complete body changes annually. Changing a grill is not a stretch. Why not freshen it?...they should be doing this as a matter of routine anyways.
  20. Let's get kids hooked on Hummers early:
  21. I was in one two days ago and completely impressed with this car.
  22. Yep, it's the 1911 Sears high-wheeler. It was built by the Lincoln Motor Car Works in Chicago. They built them from 1908 to 1911 and last offered by Sears in 1912. They sold them by mail order. And that is not the only unusual item they sold. From 1908 to 1940, Sears sold over 100,000 homes through their catalogue. They came in numerous designs and floor plans. Quite facinatiing. Here's an example:
  23. I owned an 82 Cutlass Supreme once, it was white with white vinyl roof with burgandy interior...man that thing looked like a midsized Eldorado. I got so many compliments on that vehicle.
  24. The interior is first rate, very well done. Chevrolet has made a massive improvement from the last interior. I give them credit. The materials are completely appropriate and tasteful. Good job, GM.
