  1. I'm feeling bad, I almost put the Challenger on my ugly list. Obviously some like it. That's ok. But it still looks oddball in the flesh. The new Camaro coming up looks to mop up the floor with it. No competition at all. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad the new Challenger exists. I just don't like looking at it.
  2. CONGRATULATIONS!!! A great choice. I luv these Malibus. Great color. I'm very happy for you guys.
  3. I only had room for the classic '10'. There are many other ugly cars as well. Like the Honda Ridgeline. A disaster. And the top model of the Element has improved it's looks somewhat, so I gave it a break. But, hey...gives us your top 10, theres room.
  4. Well, I definitely luv the new Camaro, but it wasn't on the market in 2008, so I'll save it for next year. As for the Challenger, in photos, I simply think it's an outstanding looking car. BUT, when you see it in person, there is something offputting about it, it's visually too large, the greenhouse too high, body too narrow. The proportions are all a mess to me. Just watch that car on the street and as it moves by you...it is the complete opposite to the original Challenger, which was low and wide.
  5. Yes, although not exactly the same, it has a similar design theme.
  6. Here's my take on the top 10 most visually captivating cars of 2008: 1. Aston Martin Vantage 2. Audi R8 3. BMW M3 Coupe 4. Cadillac CTS-V 5. Cadillac XLR-V 6. Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 7. Saturn Sky 8. Ferrari F430 9. Lamborghini Murcielago 10. Lamborghini Gallardo
  7. Here's my list for the top 10 boring vehicles of 2008, an absolute snoozefest: 1. Acura RL 2. Mitsubishi Gallant 3. Lincoln MKZ 4. Hyundai Azera 5. Hyundai Genesis 6. Hyundai Sonata 7. Kia Optima 8. Lexus GS 9. Toyota Avalon 10. Toyota Camry
  8. I agree about the Mini....even that extended version doesn't do it for me. It distorts a classic, iconic shape. It's worrisome that BMW will dilute the Mini brand with too many unnecessary variations. And ugly ones at that.
  9. Regarding the cargo vans, GM and now Ford grafted the ugliest black plastic revisions on the fronts of these otherwise decent vans. Hideous makeover. Many like the Nissan GT-R, and I like it as a supercar, but never warmed to the style of it. All in the eye of the beholder. What else explains all the ugly Nissan Versas running around. Obviously many think these are gorgeous cars.
  10. Here's my list of the ugliest vehicles of 2008: 1. Tied: Chevy/GMC Cargo vans / Ford Cargo van 2. Toyota Prius 3. Chrysler Sebring 4. Honda Accord Sedan 5. Kia Amanti 6. Nissan GT-R 7. Nissan Versa 8. Honda Pilot 9. Suzuki XL7 10. Mitsubishi Endeavor
  11. It's interesting that the 1960 Comet was originally meant to be an Edsel. Maybe if they'd just waited a bit longer. The Comet was quite successful.
  12. Moltar that was esentially it. GM was slaughtering the competition. Ford felt it need to do more to compete. I'll bet along with all the things lined up against this new division, the name 'Edsel' sounded a bit nerdish. I wonder. Not the best name in the car business. Maybe they should have used 'Meteor' from Canada.
  13. Does anyone here know who is doing the theme song for the new Blackberry Storm? Something about it, I like. I've tried to find out on the net, but no luck. http://eu.blackberry.com/eng/devices/black...avId=H0,C381,S7
  14. I think it's because music sources has become so fragmented. There's so much great music being created as we speak, it's just not heard by the masses. The whole Top 40 radio hit parade thing is dead. Superstar rock musicians are history, never to be repeated. You'll never see a a particular style of music rise to the top again. It will be a full array of musical styles within the rock idiom. So, good rock music is still there, it's just that one has to seek it out more.
  15. My top 3 overrated rock songs: 1. Queen - Anything they've ever done, if I hear another Queen anthem, I'll gag 2. Led Zeppelin - 'Stairway to Heaven', it's become almost cliche as the best rock song ever...it's a great one, but I like 'Whole Lotta Love' better 3. The Doors - Anything they've ever done. Frankly the most overrated rock group ever.
  16. Wow...that is so neat. Have never seen one of those. It looks perfect as a woody.
