    Audi Electric Activesphere

      Audi activesphere, the future of rugged autocross or just another rugged looking luxury electric auto?

    2023 promises to be an exciting year at the global auto companies are lining up many new EV releases.

    Audi since August 2021 has been introducing concept autos to the sphere family. The activesphere concept will be the fourth model in this sphere family of premium mobility.

    Audi activesphere concept is focused on the active lifestyle person allowing them maximum variability for both on and off pavement. Full details about the activesphere will be given at the reveal at the begining of 2023.

    Audi showed off the sphere family during the Monterey Car Week in California on August 18th to 21st, 2022, showing the first three concepts, Audi Skyphere, Audi grandsphere and Audi urbansphere.

    Electric Drive system 465 kW or 624 HP with 750 Nm or 552 lb ft of torque in RWD allowing 0 to 65 mph in 4 seconds with a 500 km (310 miles) battery pack. More details at the link above.

    In four door configurations, Audi seems to have embraced the suicide door style for their EV products.

    One consistency that is seen here in the Audi Sphere family is the fast back rear that we have seen on the Cadillac family of EVs.

    All of those concepts are ugly and what is with the flying buttress C-pillar on the Audi and the Cadillacs, looks chunky and heavy.

    As far as the active sphere goes, Audi definitely needs more crossover copes for active lifestyle people, I suggest they do a QC1, QC2, QC3, QC4, QC5, QC6, QC7, QC8, and QC9 so they can have 9 Q-coupe versions of their current Q suv's.  This way they can have 18 SUVs each 3 inches and $3,000 different in price.

    Yet they have style and stand out compared to the Jelly Bean Blah ugly nature of Mercedes EQ series. I have low expectations for the EQE when they show it off in a few months. Another Jelly Bean Ugly SUV

      A couple German phrases I know are ' Bitte ture schliessen' (please close the door, which I learned on the Milan to Venice train 20+ years ago, and 'fahrt nicht bumplitz' (do not drive to Bumplitz) which I read on a Swiss newspaper headline and it stuck in my head...

      I've learned a few choice phrases in German. Recently, a few buses quarreled with each other by extended honking at a Sicilian airport.   There will always be a German or two or three on the shuttle buses, leaving the airport so I turned to one and said, "Die Sizilen ist unterhaltsam."  That means "Sicily is entertaining." One of the first things I learned is "die Sieben-vier-sieben is sehr gut."  That means "the 747 is very good."

      I have no clue about current American music and I don't like what I hear.  I think it really peaked in the seventies, eighties and nineties ... and younger people who come to know that music also come to admit that same thing.

      I didn't even know this existed.  It was the background music for a photo montage on YouTube. I know next to nothing her except that she was in "A View to a Kill," the last 007 film for Roger Moore. I did not know about her music. She's not really easy on the eyes with her severe look. But this particular cut is easy on the ears and good for interstate driving.
