    Rumorpile: Audi To Buy Ducati Motorcycles.. Umm What?!

    Well, this is different. Car Magazine is reporting that Audi has signed an agreement with Italian motorcycle maker, Ducati to possibly buy them. The deal would cost of 850 million euros (about $1.1 billion) The 850 million includes a 800 million euro debt. Sources at Audi tell Car the company will most likely offer between 50 to 100 million euros and take on the large debt load.

    So, why is Audi interested in Ducati? Well there are three reasons. One: Audi has a bit of motorcycle history with former brands DKW and NSU. Two: Ducati chairman Andrea Bonomi has said he views "'Ducati as the two-wheel equivalent of Audi". Three: Volkswagen chairman Ferdinand Piëch has been wanting Ducati for the longest time. Back in 2008, Piëch said it was mistake not buying Ducati at the time.

    However, Audi isn't the only wanting Ducati. Mercedes-Benz, who's own AMG performance division is a partner with the brand and India's Mahindra are also in the running.

      You're welcome! Yep, the problem is that it isn't the future for the rest of the world. That's the NOW for China and Europe (if I remember correctly from the video). The US is soooo far behind. It does make me curious about the Ford and CATL and/or BYD partnerships that have been going on. I'm sure Ford isn't getting that technology though.

      The collapse will cause an every country for themselves attitude and it will be the final days for ICE and OIL and the Auto Companies that caved into Idiot47, AKA American Auto Companies are going to pay big time as they continue to become nothing in the new world order of Tech EVs. American Auto Companies have gotten the last of my dollars.  Awaiting to see how Kia / Hyundai does with the Truck Market here. Their Mules are still in LA for the EV9 Pickup that I would love to have to compliment my current EV9. Thanks for the Link, yes I see the video and that is freaking cool. We are so far behind when this is the future.

      @G. David Felt I came across this video and thought you'd appreciate it. It's a long video, but with you being the tech guy that you are, you should be entertained by it all. If you wanted to skip to the charging session itself, you'll want to skip to like the 42 minute mark. I hope the link works because YouTube links don't show up in my feed on my work computer, but hopefully this does for you guys.
