Tesla delivers only 220 during the Quarter due to Bottlenecks Tesla says it is on track to deliver 100,000 S & X models by the end of the year and have Model 3 production up to 5000 units per month. Yet with that, they have also stated that due to bottlenecks on the assembly line, they are behind in building and delivering Tesla 3 to the public. I found the comment by another reader on the story of their quarterly report to be very spot on. To quote JSH who posted the following: "It seems that skipping basic steps in the tooling and manufacturing development process didn't pan out. It turns out that automotive manufacturers do know a bit more about ma…

400 fired for Performance at Tesla or so they say. Seems Tesla fired approximately 400 employees from lowly sales associates to upper level executives all for performance. Yet with the bottleneck of production holding back the ability to actually produce and ship Tesla 3, it seems Tesla is more about laying off costs to stem the flow of cash till they can get the Tesla 3 shipping. Seems to me they will miss their production targets this year big time. Tesla Story on web

Based on various web sites and even Tesla themselves, one is expected to believe that they have 400,000 plus reservations for the Tesla 3 car. Yet with an email received last night: It seems anyone can order a Tesla 3 and NO RESERVATION FEE is required. On top of this it states that you will get your car in 2-4 months. Yet others that paid their $1,000 dollar fee to save a place in line is being told they still have to wait in some cases till 2019. The autoweek story points out that at 5,000 cars built a week, Tesla can only produce 115,000 cars this year. So how is it that they have this many reservations? Could it be that the bulk of these are for the pr…

G. David Felt - Staff Writer Alternative Energy - www.cheersandgears.com Tesla less safe than a Slaughterhouse? Seems Tesla cannot move fast enough to replace their workers with Robots and as such the Unions are pushing to get into the Tesla factory especially after an employee turned safety records over to a Union connected group showing that in 2015 the latest year for available records that Tesla was 31% higher than the average in the auto industry for accidents on the assembly line. In fact according to the story, Tesla is worse in safety than Sawmills in Pacific Northwest and Slaughterhouses in the mid west. UAW has been pushing for years to…

http://money.cnn.com/2017/06/06/technology/business/tesla-model-3-backlog/index.html Musk stated today Model 3 delivery isn't to be expected before "the end of 2018". There goes the production schedules and annual goals stated up until now. Not at all a shock if one has been paying attention to this company's history. What remains to be seen is the degree of people who decide 'enough is enough' and pull their deposits- THREE YEARS is a long damn time to wait for a car to be built.

Tesla tweeted that the Model 3 will go on sale Friday July 7th. While it is claimed to do 0-60 about a half second quicker than it's primary price competition --the Chevy Bolt--, disappointingly it's range is a mere 133 miles vs. the Bolt's 238. All along the range expectation was said to be over 200, many stating they thought it would be over 250. Combined with the lack of options & upgrades on initial launch, it remains to be seen what any rate of order cancellation may occur. Looking forward to first 'journalist' test impressions- no doubt Tesla will be receive massive publicity & coverage when the 3's start becoming available, as per usual. Here's to hop…

GM Exec calls Musk full of Crap! Seems Musk stating his auto's are level 5 capable of self driving is now being called full of crap by GM Exec that says without Lidar, there is no way Tesla system can be Level 5 full autonomous driving. It cannot see in the black of Night nor the difference of a snow covered road. Clearly many use cases that show Tesla to not be a Level 5 autonomous driving auto. Interesting read at Autoblog. https://www.autoblog.com/2017/10/16/gm-exec-calls-elon-musk-full-of-crap-autonomy-claims/

Tesla had an email announcement about their newest software. Enhancements to the display that improves maps and autopilot, more intuitive media player and what they are touting as an industry first, Cabin Overheat Protection focused on Child and Pet safety. Tesla cuts Tesla 3 parts delivery 40% starting in December 2017. According to a story that has broke on another site, it would appear that instead of taking delivery of enough parts per week to build 5,000 Tesla 3 cars per week in December, Tesla has cut that rate by 40% which indicates 3,000 per week by the end of Dec. This also has a ripple affect as it pushes out their delivery of reaching 10,000 Tesla 3 cars per week in the early part of 2018. They story goes on to say that Tesla will not start taking delivery of parts in 10,000 lot shipments till May or June at the earliest. This would indicate that If they are only building about 3,000 a week in the first half …
