Help please;

This note in my Operator's Manual describes what my car is doing perfectly: "If your vehicle accelerates sluggishly from a stop, and/or the automatic tranxaxle does not seem to shift, a sensor that controls your electronic transaxle may not be working. Driving with these symptoms for an extended period may cause transaxle damage."

My question is, How can I find and replace this sensor?

Any help would be appreciated. I do not have a service manual for this car.

Thanks, Dick

No, Service Engine Soon light is not on.

Also, this behavior is intermitent. Immediately after this last episode (at slow speed, selector in 2, it would not climb a fairly steep hill. Just stalled and I had to back down get a run at it, floor it and it made it up sluggishly), it seemed to work fine on the highway. With the cruise control set, it shifted down correctly at hills. But, when I try to cross a street from a stop, sometimes I can floor it and it just won't go. It is scarey.

Thanks, Dick
