Toyota recalls - side article in MT

In the Oct. '06 issue of Motor Trend, page 22 "MT Confidential" it says "Toyota recently held a press conference in Tokyo to apologize for a recent flurry of recalls, most notably those involving the hybrid Prius and Lexus sport/utilities. And in Kumamoto, Japan police are investigating Toyota for allegedly failing to recall vehicles it knew had defects. The problem is obvious: Toyota sales are growing so quickly, it can't kpeep up it's usual level of quality control."
