Astra on MTV

Featured Replies

This morning on MTV at around 8:09am EST, some younger guy was talking up the Astra. I believe it was during the Discover&Download segment.

It was a blue 3-door XR model, and not only were appearances praised, but the sound system was promoted as well.

This bodes well for not only Saturn and the Astra itself, but GM!

*EDIT* Was for the segment title

This is good news. MTV is a great place for advertising the Astra. I hope this is the beginning of good things for the Astra.

+1 The Astra is a hot looking car, plus will have some level of exclusivity for the first gen. This could be a real image builder for the brand...

And, since it's on MTV, all of the kids that want the latest and greatest will just have to have one.

Hooray for demand!

I remember a few years ago on MTV, contestants who touched an ice sculpture longest (or until it melted) won a Saturn SCLW-whatever.

Interesting the mention of the stereo.

My 2005 Corsa C (Barina) has a pretty decent head unit straight from thr factory. The only change i've made is to swap out the cardboard front speakers and tweeters for Alpine 6.25 inch speakers and tweeters. It upgraded the sound quite nicely, but you really only need to remove the head unit if you're really keen.
