Press talks about the 2007 Yukon

Just some previews of what the press said at a recent 2007 Yukon drive: Media Drive Feedback The following are quotes from key media members following the recent Yukon media drive. β€œThe 6.2 (liter engine) is great and I love the 6-speed, buttery-smooth powertrain.” β€” Mark Williams, Truck Trend β€œVehicle is balanced and stable, you feel well planted to the road.” β€” Bob Gritzinger, AutoWeek β€œThe interiors are spectacular β€” like you're in a luxury car, not a truck.” β€” John McCormick β€œIt's clear that everybody's done their homework on these vehicles. Ride, isolation, noise reduction β€” better in every way.” β€” John Stewart, Four Wheeler
Great to hear the positive buzz. I think GM did a great job with the Yukon and Tahoe. The interiors are 1000% better, the designs are better integrated and further differentiated, and the gas mileage has improved. For once, I can only name two items for improvement: ditch the all-plastic dash for a cushy one, and upgrade the 4-speed to the 6-speed across the line. With those two items fixed, you've got a near perfect product...
Sounds like they're impressed so far. They really need to get the 6-speed in everything, and I want to know if the cloth interiors are as good all-around as the leather ones.
