Chevy Equinox fuel cell car review

Featured Replies

That's an interesting article on water availability. They need to find better ways to cool their plants, or cooler ways to produce hydrogen from water. Solar power can be used to make hydrogen, that's a completely clean way, as long as the compressor is also powered by solar.

Why use fresh water? You don't need to use water at all. Most hydrogen is produced as a byproduct of other industrial processes, but you can also extract it from landfill gas, natural gas etc.

James Healey of USA Today likes it and says its smoother than a hybrid car.

on the other hand:

this article seems to question whether we have enough water for the hydrogen economy

Ummm 72% of the Earth's surface is made of err WATER? Like Griffon said, using clean water is not a requirement.

I read that distilled water is required for th electrolysis of water and that salt water was unacceptable for cooling towers becasue of corrosion and other problems.
