Delphi & the UAW: All possible outcomes

Featured Replies

I think we need one, tidy little thread in which we can succinctly state all the possible outcomes of this Delphi vs. UAW debacle going on right now. The reason being, I think that we can use our information to deduce all the possible ways that this will affect GM. Only a few rules I want to mention: - Don't get into a big pissing match/flame war here. There are plenty of other threads where you can have fightin' words. - Try and keep theories as simple and easy to comprehend as possible. Not all of us are business majors. - Even if you think your theory is stupid or implausible (e.g: the UAW accepts Delphi's $9/hour offer), chime in anyway. The more dialogue, the better. Alright, put your thinking caps on, and show us what ya got! :CG_all:

"I don't want to use the word 'strike' but he (Delphi CEO Robert 'Steve" Miller) knows that this is unacceptable and is pushing this organization to the position where our only alternative is to exercise the nuclear option," said Paul Siejak, president of UAW Local 686 Unit 1.

"The arrogance of the proposal is insulting," said Siejak, whose local represents about 3,200 of the 4,000 employees at Delphi Thermal & Interior in Lockport
