So i just bought my first typhoon. Its a 93 model with only 65k miles and i picked it up for a song, but the last owner owned it for 4 years and only drove it 300 miles so its been neglected kinda mechanically wise. When im driving it, it wont shift outta first until 4000rpm...can anyone shed light on my situation

gummed up transmission fluid?

edit: BTW, I'm going to move this to the tech questions section.

My thinking, as well. I'd say change fluid/filter and maybe Seafoam it... then go from there.

Or you can risk it and hope that usage ungums it.

Oh, duh, yeah.

Easy fix, too, generally.

I was thinking this would have been a 4L60E, not a 700r4.

Post pics!!

I'm jealous of your purchase! While I love the '92-'93 Typhoon, I'm more of a Syclone guy. Still kicking myself for not going through with the purchase of an elderly owned & cared for '91 Sylcone back in June of 1998 :palm: Please post pictures of you Ty as soon as you can.
