How to Meet 2016 CAFE Standards? Go on a serious diet.

As The Economist reports this week, powertrain improvements can only go so far to meet the aggressive mileage improvement goals. To make up the rest, cars will have to become much lighter. This will raise prices, but will it also make cars less safe? Is it worth it? Discuss in the forums!
