Trim piece help

Featured Replies

Okay, this is a question for anyone who has worked on a Cobalt.....

My knee bumped the trim piece on the dash where the little cubby is-that you can open up (where the trunk release button is), and is "off " track.

I cannot get the left rod back into the cubby piece. And I don't want to break it either.

Any tips?

Photos would help.

Too late tonight, I'll see if I can get them in the morning...

I busted the mounts on the little door trying to get it back together.

I don't have good advice for you, other than to say don't do what I did. :)

I bought some clear tape and velcro to make the thing work again.

Went to the dealership, and they gave me a nice printout to take that small part of the dash apart.

Going to give it a try...
