BMW 5-Series

5 posts in this topic

I wouldn't call it a tank... just a 5-series that can resist a few bullets. If you're evading gunmen and hit a telephone pole in the process, you're still screwed. The only way this car makes sense is if the weight gain is nominal and the car's agility is retained.

What this means to you: Could the upper-scale armored vehicle make its way to the States?

...exists as well as Town Car Ls, SUVs, etc.

One armoring firm (Armet) is a few miles from me. Maybe I should beef up the 'Rora.

I believe MB also provides "Guard" versions of the E500 and S500 sedans also in the states...or atleast they did...dunno if they still do.

I suppose the intent of these cars is for the rich, executives, celebrities and gov't officials. I have a feeling another group will be purchasing them as well. The criminals.
