Question about turn signals

Recommended Posts

Ok, so this is kind of a stupid story, but here goes.

his moring I was pulling into the North Campus parking lot at college. Usually you can just drive through, but today there was agate installed. that gate has been there before, but it gets broken all the time, so they usually leave busted, but today yet another one was up. This threw me off, so when i came to a stop I was too far away from teh terminal to swipe my ID. Then another car pulling in behind me. I got out of the car, swiped it, got back in, and pulled away, but I was doing itin a bit of a rush, cuz there's a time limit on that gate. In my rush, I grazed the damn pole that the gate is connected to. i was so pissed :hissyfit::censored: I should have just boken i myself...nex time I may <_< But anyway, when I parked and c hecked the bumper, there was just some paint from the pole on it..no dents. However, after clas, I noticed something wrong with my turn signals.

I cheked, and the actual signals work, but the blinkers inside the c ar (you know, the arrows) weren't working right. Usually they make a clicking noise as they blink at the normal (not fast) pattern. When I first engage the signals, they do this, but then the arrow flashes a lot faster and stops making the clicking noise, then goes back to normal (sometimes) then does it again. Again, the otside signals work fine, but the inside arrows are messing up. I dunno if something got jarred loose or what. Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be? Thanks

you probably a need new bulb....when something is wrong with your signals(usually just the bulb) you car does that to tell you to fix it...try new bulbs...if that doesn't work then look deeper

Well as it turns out the bulb wasn't broken, but fell out of the housing. I had to find it then clamp it back in (the fittings are kinda rusty, probably why it fell out). The blinker arrows work properly too now ^_^ Guess they alert you when the bulb is just out of place.
